Hey everyone,

We're typing up the letter of intent, and downloaded the sample from the Guide here.

Quote:

Dear Sir or Madam:

I, (applicant’s or beneficiary’s name) , do hereby state that I am legally able and willing to marry (petitioner’s or beneficiary’s name), and intend to do so within 90 days of my arrival into the US using the K-1 visa.

We wonder if that's enought to say on the letter. Or should we write more, for example, "we're planning to have babies as soon as we get married, etc. It will also show the ongoing relationship by saying that.

Is that necessary?

Please advise.

Thank you very much

That's all they need...the example in the guides. They're only interested you saying that and physically signing it. Nothing you add to the end of that shows proof of an ongoing relationship. You prove later between the time you send the package and have the consulate interview that you're still in a relationship.

Proof of visiting each other, pics, emails, chat logs etc...

Good luck.

That's enough.

We used the VJ fiancee letters of intent, changed only names and dates. Saying MORE means nothing UNLESS it says exactly what you have written. Saying what you have written needs nothing else.

Thank you very much.

Hia i am in a similar situation with my i 130. My sister is sponsing me and immigration has asked us to provide affidavit from friends and family - evidence that an emotional or finacial bond existed between my father and i before the age of 21. Is there anyone that could forward such sample letter?
