Hi all.

I recieved a letter from DMV last week that they need to see an extention letter in order to keep my ID card. I guess this is my driverslicense. My green card expires oct 23 2009 and they need it 61 days before it expires. Has anyone had the same letter?

I was wondering if I need to go to the SS office too. Or is my SSN card good forever?

Any experience about this guys?

Not heard of that yet - it figures California would be on top of that. Should be easy enough to solve though (NOA1 for your I-751).

I was wondering if I need to go to the SS office too. Or is my SSN card good forever?

SS Card is issued for life - no need to do anything there.

not positive, but if I recall correctly, what the letter says is the document your sending has to be valid for more than 60 days from the expiration date of your driver's license or ID Card. as others have said, just send the I-797 extension letter from your I-751 and you'll be set to go...
