I started taking birth control pills since I got married and stopped after 2 years when we felt we were ready to have a baby. It took us 5 months for me to get pregnant after stopping pills. :-) Now, we have a beautiful baby girl and started on pills again because I don't want to have another baby this time. Remember ang pills 92% to 97% effective so meaning to say you can still get pregnant :D

can i butt in?? hehehe

my dermatologist...yes, derma not OB GYNE prescribed dianne for my pimples. After 3 months of taking the pill, my face became clear and pimple free =) Medyo maganda nga effect ng dianne sa skin =)

Oo totoo yan. Kaya nga yan ang mga ginagamit ng mga bakla kasi nadadagdagan ang female hormones nila kaya nawawala yung mga muscles nila at nagiging more feminine sila. Kumikinis pa balat at lumalaki yung boobs hehe.

Ang gusto kong pills is yung maganda ang side effect pero my mind is still open for some other suggestions about pills hehe :)

i just googled ortho-tricyclen

and i got this site :

http://www.rxlist.com/script/main/rxlist_v...id=fdb17132_pem

mas better raw ung YAz akala ko ang yaz, yung yasmine hehe.. im confused na tuloy.. are they the same one?> i thought abbreviated lang ung Yaz

I believe Yaz and Yasmin are both from Bayer. I am using Yasmin for almost two years now and I must say that I like it soooooo much. When I started using it, the first few months were pretty tough on me because of all the side effects like dizziness, nausea, headaches, can hardly breath and chest pains. I was really scared and almost quit using it but the doctor said it will get better as soon as my body got used to it. She was right... I also gained weight during the adjustment period and shed it off afterwards. The pill helps me regulate my period, prevents getting acne and maintaining my weight too that's why I'm sticking with it (like I said I have been using it for almost 2 yrs now). Every effect to every woman is different so I don't know how it will work for you. I heard Yaz is as good as Yasmin. I almost thought about switching but I chickened out thinking about the side effects when I start over again. And oh, the mens is very short and light with my pill... just 2-3 days and you're done. I also like it that I know when to expect it. I can always make plans if ever there's something special going on with my husband and I. :blush: My pill's very expensive if you don't have insurance. I'm getting my supply from mail order pharmacy and pay $9 for 3 packets. It will save you a lot if you will ask your doctor to make the prescription be dispensed on a 3-month supply basis.

thanks for sharing this :) i googled yaz and yasmin parang natakot ako kahapon about what i read because it can cause pyschological distress and of course a lot of the reviews said something about having zero sex drive(not something we're looking forward to) and other than that, I'm afraid of the other side effects you mentioned but I still do want to have some form of BC, also one post it's best to take yaz for those with PMDD im not sure if i have that, i looked up the symptoms and i cant be a 100% sure if that would apply to me; anyway, as ive learned from my family, my sister and my mom had major emotional issues when they were on the pill, i guess th ehormones were too much;

I dont want the patch anymore coz I dont want somethign that doesnt really work so much; How about the nuva ring has anyone ever tried that?

Hi ladies. :)

I use Desogen/Marvelon. I've been on it for 4 years now and have never had a single problem with it. No weight gain, no headaches, nothing. This is totally TMI, but my periods are only 2.5 days now and rarely ever heavy! No cramps or anything like that, either. I get them late Tuesday, done by Friday.

I did try another pill at one time, but it gave me awful mood swings, messed up my cycle, and made me feel really strange.

Montreal: BEAT!!! Approved!!!!!

Definitely not a problem with me with Yasmin!!! :whistle: Like I said, the effects and side effects to everyone differ so you will have to try what works best for you. Since I've been on it for almost 2 years now, I have to talk to my doctor whether I should keep on taking it or if I need to rest for awhile. You must be careful on what BC to choose because I heard some of them can cause you vaginal dryness on top of mood swings. Now that would be a real hassle! :whistle: I heard somewhere that Nuva ring is good too. But you have to talk to your doctor about it to see if it will work for you.
