To Rockhouse, I think your question has been answered already. Anyways, congrats! You'll be with your SO soon.

FWIW, my fiance and I had a good laugh about this thread. It's funny how a simple question which is answerable by YES or NO lead to boasting of assets...

To Abby, I understand you're proud of what you have accomplished and you should be. However, I agree to Senora Bonita, you should tone it down. Don't get me wrong...Posting a picture of you and you're pretty young wife is fine, but then adding pictures of your cars and boasting about your other assets? You're not only giving too much info which people here in VJ don't need to know, you're also giving a bad/wrong impression of yourself and maybe even of your SO (if you know what I mean).

Just my 2 cents...

Hi rockhouse.

No, she doesn't need your passport.

An applicant may get the CFO Certificate (Green) so that they can apply for or renew their Philippine passport in the family name of their foreign spouse. The K3 Visa is not required to attend the Guidance and Counselling Session, just the Filipina's passport, a copy of the marriage certificate, the completed form (which they will give you at SMEF-COW), and the fee of Php 250. They asked me to present my birth certificate also.

Then the Filipina spouse attends the counselling session (which is roughly 3 hours long --- there is a briefing as a group, followed by individual counselling). After the session, the Filipina spouse will be issued the CFO blue certificate and she will be asked to go to the CFO office at the back (at SMEF-COW, CFO has a satellite office at the back of the building) and pay Php 400 for the green certificate which you need to get a passport in your foreign spouse's name.

To get the CFO sticker, they have to wait for the K3 visa to be issued. Only then can the Filipina spouse return to CFO to get the sticker. If there are any K4 visa holders (12 years old and below), the Filipina spouse may bring their passports, visas and the fee for the sticker.

#6 doesn't apply to K Visa applicants, just CR1/IR1 Visa holders.

Hi DianneWalgreens.

I just wanted to clarify that what I said was the K3 visa is not required yet when you attend the CFO Guidance and Counselling Session. You may attend the Guidance and Counselling Session even though your K3 visa has not come through yet. In this process, you will only be eligible to receive the CFO blue and green certificates but not the CFO sticker. Once you have the K3 visa in your passport, then the CFO will issue the CFO sticker.

Hope this helps.
