Our time line for CR1 visa took only 5 months and 1 week or 156 days; from the filing the I-130 on the 03-12-2009 to Approval of NOA2 on the 05/13/2009, then Interview on the 08/18/2009 at Manila, Philippines. We had a daughter on the 11-12-2010 named AISHA JOY means HAPPY LIFE.a1_opt-1.jpga2_opt-1.jpga3_opt-1.jpg

Hasn't somebody told you before not to dole out any misleading information? Just be silent, will you, please? :devil:

hahaha. my wife just corrected me i was thinking she already have it now. but i miss understood about it . i already appologize to rock house. human makes mistake and i am just like u a human. vj helps alot to understand the visa process bcz so many people are here to correct the wrong one, but u can not tell me not to speak bcz u have no autority here to tell any one to dole out, i can tell u dole out and be silent if u want to listen to me u can listen or u dont have to listen, good luck to u in ur visa journey, i am only here to help rock house and i know we are so many here to correct me so we can learn from each other , abby n sheryl

Am i the only one that seems to see multiple contradictions in every thread? It seems that basically there are no rules to any of this process because so many people seem to do it their own way.

I guess i will make it as simple as i can....If anyone reading this has done exactly what i am about to type, please respond.

Can my fiancee go to the CFO in Cebu before her interview with her passport and or a copy of her passport, the scanned NOA2 letter, and the CENOMAR, get registered to take the CFO seminar, take the CFO seminar, go to USEM for interview, come back to the Cebu CFO, and receive the CFO sticker on her passport/visa?

Thanks.

People are confusing these issues...First there are two parts to the CFO seminars the actual seminar and the getting the stamp.

First the seminar requirements along with the 250php fee. Along with these things they also asked my wife (then fiance) for a picture of us together.(she took seminar at Manila at PRISM)

1. Two (2) valid identification cards (IDs) with photograph;

2. Duly completed guidance and counseling form;

3. If married, certified true copy and photocopy of marriage contract on security paper from the National Statistics Office (NSO), or Local Civil Registry Offices (LCRO); or original and photocopy of marriage contract duly authenticated by the Philippine Embassy/Consulate (if married abroad)

4. Other documents as may be required by the counselors; and

5. Payment of P250.00 counseling fee.

AFTER the seminar they give you the certification that you took the seminar and it is what you bring back after the interview and get your stamp.

Then after the interview IF YOU ARE DOING THE SEMINAR BEFOREHAND

Then the aquisition of the stamp after completion of the seminar along with the 400php fee.

1. Original Passport;

2. Original and photocopy of visa;

3. Original and photocopy of Immigrant Data Summary for US bound/Confirmation of Permanent Residence for Canada bound/ Embassy Certification of Eligibility (for Spain bound C visa holders);

4. Original CFO guidance and counseling certificate;

5. Duly completed emigrant registration form; and

6. Payment of the authorized registration fee.

Hope this helps clear up the confusion, again.

Not to throw wood on the fire Abby but if you don't know the ACTUAL answer it is much better to just not answer. Nothing against you but it just causes confusion. It is better to learn the truth than 2 try to teach the wrong answer.

This is the second time I can affirm you gave wrong info. You told someone the other day it took $25,000 to qualify as sponsor for 2 people the actual # is $18,212. So you caused that individual to be confused and worried they might not qualify perhaps.

Its great you want to help but learning from one another is easier if you just wait for someone who ACTUALLY knows the answer then next time you can answer correctly. Nobody would ever figure anything out if 8 people just threw out what they THOUGHT the answer was to a question and 7 were wrong, It would just be a big cluster**** until the one who was right convinced or proved everyone else wrong.

You probably got approved in the fastest time on VJ for your CR1 by luck, or your case wasn't that difficult or whatever, but the fact remains you do give out wrong info, don't feel bad I did the same thing ONE TIME and then I learned it is better to wait to be helpful more when I KNEW WHAT I WAS TALKING ABOUT.
