Is there a difference between K-1 and K-3 as far as the waiting time when a beneficiary is able to find employment?

I was informed by a friend that K-3 is faster employment wise.

If there's anyone that can shed their knowledge on this, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If you want a faster route to employment, the CR-1 might be what you're looking for. You can work immediatly upon entrance into the US. It is for spouses only though

Good luck.

No difference. K-3s have to adjust status also. The only difference is that the K-3 does not have to get married within 90 days (DUH!) and the K-3 is a multiple entry visa valid for two years. The K-1 is single entry.

Neither K visa is a work visa and do not allow work. The CR-1 is an immigrant visa and DOES allow work. That would be your best route if your SO needs to work right away

Right. If the foreign loved one's work and income are critical, then getting married first and the CR1 route will provide work authorization upon entry instead of the K1 fiance(e) path's entry to marriage and filing plus three months, for work authorization. K3 is virtually obsolete but theoretically faster to work authorization by however long it takes to marry and get the certificate of marraige in hand.
