Hi Everyone,

My biometrics appointment is on August 19. My husband and I would like to do it on Saturday August 15 (walk-in) coz he can't get off work on the 19. I'm wondering if there's anybody that go to Lubbock, Texas for their biometrics. We tried to call the UCSIS 1-800 number but no luck to get the local office number.

Do we need to call the Application Support Center if they allow walk-in?

Thank y'all for your help. We really appreciate it!

I don't know for your particular office, but ours is only open Mon thr Fri. Our office will only do biometrics on the day of or later. They will not do it early. Other offices do it early. There is no phone number for local offices, you have to go in person. You should get an INFOPASS to make an appointment, unless you go on the day of your biometrics.

Can you go on the appointed date without your husband? He does not need to be there. All you need, if I remember correct, is you Biometric Letter and your Green Card.

Good luck.

At my office (Charlotte NC) they never seem to be busy and will take you earlier in the day. (I've done it twice, once for ROC, once for naturalization). I think it's an office by office kind of thing. I'm guessing the busier the office, the more likely they are to hold you to the date and time on the letter.

Wow - Atlanta has always turned people away when they have showed up for a walk-in. Perhaps it is because it was a Saturday. I remember having biometrics there one Saturday and the place was deserted.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Thank y'all for the replies!

I had my biometrics done today, Saturday (walk-in):dance: . That save me of getting up at 3 in the morning on Wednesday for my biometrics appointment (8 AM). We drove 6-7 hrs (back and forth) to get my biometrics done. But it's worth it!!:thumbs:

Good luck to all of us!!:thumbs:

Glad to hear about the successful walk-in appointments!

I had asked the security gaurd at the Orlando office if they allowed walk-ins, and he said yes, as long as they weren't to crowded, and if it was on a Wed or Sat.
