I am sorry that it is taking so long to get an interview for you. :(

I was also told that they only make appointments for the Amman embassy the second week of the month, but mine was made on the third week. I had called them the 2nd week and they told me that the appointments were already made for the month and to call back the following month. A week later, I got my appointment letter.

With that said, Click on the immigration timelines at the top of this page....then on the lower left hand side you will see a place for different visas...click the advanced view....then go to the bottom of the page and click on the Ghana embassy. Once there, click on the arrows on the headers and it will put them in chronological order for you. I hope this gives you an idea of how much longer you might have to wait.

I hope you get good news soon!

Waiting.....Waiting....waiting....waiting....and more waiting..........

It is really such a long wait especially since NVC completed your case in April. I think mine was completed in May/June and I got a July date. Before you know it your time at the embassy will be known soon.

WOW, I'm in the same interview waiting club as you are. We were approved back in May and still no interview date!!!

I was hoping yours was booked for September because we are one month behind your approval date, so now I don't know what to think. Five months and still no interview for you in Ghana???? What's going on???

Did you get an interview?

I have a quick question.

I noticed that most people who are in this particular post have IR-1/CR-1 visa. Is that a better way to go? I am curious I am a novice in this Visa world. Are they basically the same in regards to waiting time? Does one have precedence over the other?

Does that make it easier or faster having that type of visa?

I read the pros and cons...but lists are just lists until someone walks out the process.

What I have read about the visa process and what I have walked through have been different.

We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us...

They are the same visa the only difference is that the CR-1 is for people who who are married less then two years before the foreign spouse enters the USA. They will get a conditional green card and will have to apply for the permanent green card after 2 years. An IR-1 is for people who have been married 2 years or more at the time the foreign spouse enters the USA. The foreign spouse will receive a ten year green card. The processing time and procedure is the same for the CR-1 and IR-1.

Does anyone know where to check the average wait time in here based on stastics for a particular Embassy for interview dates? I thought I remember there being one but not sure how to navigate there. I'll try again though and if I can find it, I'll post it here.

My fiance doesn't have his interview date yet either with the Embassy in New Delhi and my petition is ready to expire in just a little over 30 days and he still hasn't got the packet 3 yet, though the embassy says they did almost 3 weeks ago.

Also, can anyone tell me please if I should be concerned about the approval letter from USCIS expiring? Will it affect our case any? Could they use this as an excuse to deny via 221(g)?

Thanks and only the best of luck to all here!

It is really taking long. April case completed and yet to get an embassy date for interview? My case was completed May/June at NVC and got date July for interview in Jamaica tho.
