Hey everyone,

Quick question...when you change your address online, I know they "touch" your file to update it, but do they also notify you by mail and online that they received this change? Thanks!

As the petitioner - I don't recall getting a touch as a result of changing my address but I did get a confirmation letter at the new address a couple of weeks later.

Hm, not sure what it means then because our case was originally not in the system and was entered likely as a result of the change of address and then got touched the next day. Hopefully it means they are doing something. I guess I can't say for certain until Roland checks the mail at his new address, which won't be until Friday. Oh well, I will just have to be patient. Thanks.

Wouldn't be a bad idea to call them - to be certain the system got updated - also not a bad idea to make sure he puts his name on the inside of the mailbox (like on the inside of the lid or similar) so the mail carrier will for sure know he's living there.

I would have to get Roland to call as I am the beneficiary. Are beneficiaries able to call the NSCS, or do they only allow petitioners to do that? It's just that Roland seems to think that we're ok, but I'd like to be positive. Thanks.

Hi,

I know USCIS says to wait 45 days for a notice about the change of address, but has anyone really waited that long? Thanks.
