K-1 NEED HELP!

hello fellow Vj's

My friend ask me for help but I have no idea regarding their situation K-1 visa application because during my time we have no problem like their problem their encounter right now, Maybe you can help her or give her an advice what they are going to do,

Her and her fiance's problem is... since they filed the K-1 I-129 last March 5, 2008 they didn't recved any news and they didnt know the status of their application, her fiance called the USCIS 2x and trying to ask the status of his petiton for her the USCIS told her fiance that the processsing time now is 5 mos but they wondering bec it is 5 mos already last Aug 5 and still they didnt know the status. her question is? Where they can ask for assistance to follow up their petition?

Any advice are they really apprciate it!

oh yah sorry... March 5,2009 its August now they still wondering they didn't know what they are going to do... lot of april 2009 filers got their approval

And there are plenty of Jan/Feb filers that are still waiting as well..

I suspect they are still within 'normal' guidelines and there is nothing (yet) to worry about..

Signing up for Case Status Online is the best way to follow the progress. At least you can see if the case has been touched and should show when it is approved. Not all visa applications are processed in order, so your friend may still be waiting.

Both service centers are showing longer than 5 months on their respective timelines. The CSC is currently at 2-15-2009 and the VSC is at 12-30-2008. After your friend is out of the processing timelime, they can contact a Senator or Representative to inquire about the case.

make sure to click the link where it says notify via email
