Ok so I took some pictures and here they are.

First of all, this is the house that was kitty corner to our house in Florida - I didn't post a pic before because I figure it was too identifiable - but it really is a pretty cool house - I never saw the person that lives there. Across the street from it are two small white houses which he also owns and rents out - guess they were the servants quarters?

In case you have ever wondered what the inside of a Upack trailer looks like - this is it - oh and use a relocube instead of a trailer if you don't like a fine black dust on a lot of stuff.

My camera seems to be over exposing - whateva! Anyway, look what's coming up!

Yay, Tim Hortons - a picture of a sign about a doughnut!!

Floridaandtriptocanada021-1.jpg

Another sign!

Took this one so you guys could place your orders

Yes, I even took a picture inside - these are your fellow Canadians

A picture of the doughnut I ate - as promised!

We were almost at the Alberta border with Saskatchewan when we saw a police officer in the middle of the highway, he didn't signal at all, just smiled at us when we stopped - we were so busy noticing him that it took a minute to notice this:

So is that cattle crossing the road in the last picture? And thanks for the Timmie's fix - virtual isn't quite as good as being there, but it sure beats nothing!

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Great photos!! Love the pic's of Tim Hortons..guess I should take some myself before I move. I was just there this morning, visiting with a friend, and she kept commenting on how long the line was...we were there over 2 hours, and the line hardly ever stopped. All I could say is...That's Timmies! She lives on the Island too about an hour south of me. Guess she just doesn't venture in there too often... :o

Yeah

The picture looks like something from the 1950's - oh just realized, it would be the tint from the car window.

haha! Noice. Love the cattle and the pictures from inside of Tim's. I shall be dreaming of timbits and iced caps.

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard

Carla, I actually took a picture of Saskatchewan just for you - stuck the camera out the window and told Mike - have to get a picture of Sask for Carla! It didn't turn out all that great though. Oh and I have another cows pic lol

Beans, Headingly sounds awfully familiar - will have to ask my Husband.
