If K1 Denied, Try K3?

I pointed out what the issues are. If the previous marriage or the alien's age goes to those issues, then they are cause for concern. If they do not go to those issues, then they are not of concern.

I can possibly see how age might make a difference with the fiancee visa in terms of finding a place where one would be allowed to marry, but the passage of time - and not very much time is required - would solve that issue.

I don't believe the OP gave any reasons for the fiancee to be inadmissible. He was more concerned about his previous marriage. Some people here are concerned about fiancee's age. But we obviously cannot read minds (especially of the consular officers), so I guess the OP will find out when the interview comes. So far (to me, and I'm no expert) the situation does not seem dire. Only time can tell.

It should depend on the reason for the denial. I have seen people being denied for K1 because of the CO's unwillingness to accept a co-sponser. In that case they have gotten married then applied for K3/Cr1. I think you half to be married to apply for K3. Hmmm someone correct me if I'm wrong. We did Cr1 and K3. Cr1 was fastest in our case.

Well it took me a while, but here is the thread I remember with one persons denial. Now that I look at it again, it may have been K3 denial. I'm not sure because there is no timeline. I have heard from several others as well that have been in similar circumstances. Sorry no thread on that...
