You can file the I-751 now. I know someone that was is the same situation as you. They filed and was granted the 10 year GC without an interview.

To Haole: thanks so much for spending time to searched that topic.I really appreciate it.

For everybody:

I talked to my lawyer this morning and he said i can file for removal anytime since my husband passed away. He told me i can go back in the philippines next month without having a problem for coming back here. Just i need to stay in Phi not more than 5 months. We talked about im going to stay in Philippines and stay there for 3-4 months, learn to drive in there and then come back here and file for removal. Then the next time i come back here i should stay longer and get the citizenship, sending my anak in school. I know God and my hubby are always at my side.

For now,I had no money and im staying in my husband's son and depending on him right now. He's been good to me and to my daughter. I hope by the last week of this month i can get the money from SSA so i can move on and buy some things for us.

I am 21 yrs old,had 18months old wiggily baby and dont know how to drive. But i stoll thank to God that i had someone i can depend on now and thats the son of my husband. I am hoping that he will never get tired of us.

I had a plane ticket already for coming back to phi. I purchased a round trip ticket.

Good Luck in everything you do and may the Lord give you more strength and wisdom in all the probs you are facing now :star:

To all VJ members,

Me and my husband were married last feb2008. We had a child who is 18 months old now. Last Sept,2008 we found out that he's having a cancer so i sent him back here in US for treatment. At that time im still in the Philippines and trying to get my visa. Last May14,2009 my daughter and i arrived here in US. But sad to say my husband passed away last month(July28,2009).

Its not easy to be a single mom,to be alone by now and not be with my husband whom i depend too much.I appliedd for survivor benefits from social security. With that money i decided to moved back in the Philippines BUT SSA said that if il go back in Phil and stay there for more than 6 months our pension will gonna stop.

Also im thingking all the time about my situation here, about my conditional status because im a cr1 while my daughter is having a 10 yrs greencard.

Pls advice me what to do with my status. Since my husband is gone, what will be happen in my conditional status?Should i need to lift it?

I am planning to go back also in Phil next month.

Advice will be highly appreciated.

Are his parents interested in your daughter? What do they suggest?

In the end this is YOUR decision alone. The SSA benefits are good but not practical to live on for

an extended period. You will be in your warm family environment if you go to the Philippines.

You seem very young, but despite your feelings for your husband, you may eventually

want to re-marry; that may (not should) be an option.

So many single moms work, but you might be able to get a sister or cousin to come

and give you a hand. With a kid it's so difficult to go it totally alone, so you can

support each other like a couple but then there won't be any pressure to marry

whoever you may be involved with. You can do it for love when the time is right.

I deeply sympathize with you and your predicament.

If what you are saying is true and you are a real person, not a troll, try to be nice and very sweet to your stepson. If he is available, he might close his eyes and propose marriage and you must accept it without any hesitation. In that case, you and your baby will survive and have a permanent home in these United States.

Still, I wonder how you can get survivor benefits from Social Security since you are only 21 and that your daughter is not your deceased husband’s child.

While in the philippines, try to get some skills from Tesda such as hair and make up, nail spa, even massage or dress making... this is something you could do at your home or do part time....

My understanding is that you would be asked for income with your removal of condition application. You could not live with SS benefit alone.

im sorry for your loss...condolence...i have no answer with you question but i do hope you and your baby are ok.

God bless you!

can i remove my condition at any time now?it will be expired on 2011.

how i wish i cud stay back in phil next month,i miss my family there.

i was already giving up my residency here but SSA changed my mind. I need that money for my daughters future.

My daughter is not usc because shes my anak from another man. But my husband wanted to be the father of mu child,he was there when i gave birth to my child,he gave his last name to my child. My husband was more than a biological father to my anak.

my thoughts to you would be...as soon as you can, you should take a trip to PH, and if you have family there, then try and have them help in raising of your children, then you should come back here and look for work, and you can have the benefit and you can provide for your children. Just make sure that your trip to the PH is not more than 6 months. So don't stay more than 5 months. I know this is not the perfect solution, but it will provide a good life for your children in the PH. YOu can even afford to put them in a good private school in the PH. And then whatever kind of work you can find here in the U.S. on top of that benefit, will help. Sorry for your lostI wish you luck and God Bless!

I agree  I know that you are still grieving but I find rheanick's idea good. Since studying in PH is much cheaper compare here in the US then why not study short courses like what rheanick mentioned? It will benefit you when you get back here in the US :)

File the I-751 as soon as you can and get your 10 year GC before you go anywhere.

Why isn't your anak a US citizen?

Good advice, get your GC ASAP!
