If you are the beneficiary there is no problem if you don't have a job. As long as your fiance (petitioner) has a job and can support you than that is all they look for.

My wife worked for DTI for 10 years and kept her job until her visa was approved. She did take a month leave of absence before the interview to prepare for it.

She gave the appropriate notice of quitting after she got her visa in hand.

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

!! ALL PAU!

hello guys... i am currently working now on a bank and i will not resign in my work unless my visa is in my hand..(mabuti na ang sigurista ehehehe...) my question is, who are the people here who had their interview in the u.s embassy that they are still on their job..?, i mean di pa po nagreresign sa work nila... is the CO or pre-screener asking for docu. about your job...? like certification from your work.... any infos. from u will surely be aprreciated... di naman talaga kailangan na mag resign ka before your interview kasi sa website ata ng usem they say na wag muna agad mag resign sa work yung kukuha ng visa unless may visa na talaga. yun ang advice nila sa mga nag aaply ng visa.

if you want pwede ka kumuha ng certification from your work para kahit papano dagdag na rin sa mga documents mo or info about you.

God bless to you.

Your being employed or not does not matter during the interview but make sure you are able to present evidence of employment ( Letter of emplyment, pay stubs, ITR, Affidavit of Support ) of your petitioner.

I worked until 2 days before my flight to Manila for my US departure.

Goodluck on the journey. :)

hello, when i was interviewed for my K-1 Visa, i was still working. they didn't ask me for certification from my crrent job or previous employers. so it's ok if you haven't resigned yet. i was also just being sure that i have a job if ever something went wrong during my visa process and my hubby understands. i resigned from work after i recieved my visa.

good luck on your interview.

I was still working when i had my interview. When the CO saw my employer then, she asked if i have worked in the US. I told the CO that is was hired in the Philippines even though my managers and my co-workers are all from the US.

My manager and co-workers even scheduled a welcome party for me. :)
