Good Morning MENA

Well I managed to get some school shopping done, I was going to get these backpacks and i'm glad i put it under the price scanner, i thought maybe $20 but not more than $25, it was $60 WTH?? who would pay $60 for a backpack?? I went to another store and bought two almost identical to them at half the price.

Ah man, school shopping. I have to do that when I get back from Egypt, but unfortunately school will have already started so the good deals will be over. On the other hand, the mobs of people will be gone, too My daughter is starting kindergarten this year You can be assured she won't be getting any $60 backpack!

You might find even better deals but the bad part is, they probably will be the leftovers. A couple of years ago, i waited til the last minute and i had a heck of a time finding a lunch bag, all that i could find for my daughter was snow white, tinkerbell, etc. so i went to the sporting goods section and had to get her one. Then about a few weeks into the school year, i was told it's not cool to bring a lunch box, she wanted to brown bag it.

I did 3/4 of my kiddos school shopping. My daughter will find out her first day what she needs for her classes. This is the first year my son doesn't want a character backpack. I was looking at the Star Wars ones and he said, "Please mom, those are for nerds and babies!" I almost fell over it was the first time he has said something like that. It kind of made me sad seeing him try and pick out a big boy bag

BTW, speaking of school supplies last week Walmart had notebooks for .05 and lots of other cheap supplies.

The Dollar stores are a great place to purchase school supplies, and a lot cheaper then Wal-Mart, Target and etc.

Lexy's first day of 1st Grade is coming soon! I loved her first day of Kindergarten It was so cute all the little ones getting in line. This year she has a pink (of course) Chicago Bears backpack. Her mom said the glue sticks at Walmart were .15 ! Good thing cuz the teacher wants like....15 of them.
