^^ I totally agree, the time between now and the interview will feel like decades but the time between interview and move feels like minutes. Take the time to see people, visit family, go to places you enjoy now. It will help you take your mind off of everything plus it will free up additional time on the other end.

Keep positive, your interview will come sooner than you think and you'll be with your fiance soon!

Well said - the wait for the interview is the worst, it's not great and perhaps you should try to plana visit if the worst case scenario came true and the wait was longer. We thought our interview would be sooner...but realized at some point that we were a mess...trying to wait on a visit and trying to save $$$$. We broke down and had a visit somewhere in the middle. And the wait still just about killed me.

once you get an interview date at least you have something to work towards. Keep an eye on people close to your date range, if no one else has gotten a date, don't expeet one of course. I personally did not plague Montreal with inquiries and emails. I didn't feel that it made much difference. I asked once or rtwice in the whole process

Everyone gets that same 3-4 month response from the consulate, some wait less, take a look at the 1 year plus for NOA1 to NOA2 thread and it will make you realize that it could be a lot worse.
