Hey everybody,

So we just sent off packet 3 last week, and now the waiting begins. We were originally going to do the medical/doctor's visit in vancouver(relatives there) but now we've decided to just do the medical in quebec. So I'm looking for advice, experiences,etc... regarding travel in montreal, the medical itself, the interview, anything really. Just wanting to get a feel for what it'll be like.

there is alot of information in the embassy reviews at the top right corner link, alot of people have given really detailed instructions of the place in montreal there as well as questions and things they ran into, I found that really helpfull to me and my upcomming interview.

Also if your driving to montreal, trafic... the trafic is CRAZY at 8am, its jammed all the way to downtown and I was almost late for my medical even tho we left it with a good hour extra to get there on time! Medisys is a great place for medical I had a really amazing experience there and its also cheaper than the other place that is listed. Also leaving montreal is really bad if you leave around 3pm trafic.. again and its JAMMED doesnt matter if you drive regular roads or the express way! its crazy!!

I had my medical done at Medisys in Montreal, they have parking in their building, they were the cheapest. Take a book to read as I waited for a while inbetween everything you need to have done. My honey booked my hotel through hotwire, stayed about 20 minutes away from downtown and it cost me $46 US. I had to stay the week in order to do medical and interview. I didn't find the traffic all that bad. I went into the city around 7:30am, and left around 1:30pm. I guess too there was alot of construction going on so traffic was moving slowly so you had time to get in and out of lanes, and thank goddness for the gps!

I made my apointment early just incase which was good for me cus montreal is a pretty long drive also it takes 3-4 days if you go to medisys for them to process the whole thing so you can go pick it up.

Medisys - is really good and from what i hear the cheapest, they were very helpful very explanitory, it was very smooth and everyone was extremely nice. they took me right away booked the apointment right away at 9am, they tell you the costs / fees over the phone as well as what to bring and have on hand and answer questions if you have any about how much shots will cost if you dont have them, my medical was a little more expencive as i was missing the gardasil shot. I believe the avg cost is 215$? maybe less, it cost me an extra 165$ cus of the dang blasted shot!. The xray comes on a cd instead of giant xray film too.

Dr. Seidens - is expencive and never returned 2 of my calls or my phone messages I left about getting an appointment

thos are the only two places listed for montreal, there is a Dr, Seidens in toronto too.
