Congrats, our I-129F was approved 5days after NOA1. Fiance is military tho.

Thank you for your comment, finally a military fiance here! They were asking me if my fiance is military and I was a bit lost as I had no idea that military process goes faster. I think we had a good luck and a God's blessing. I took a look at your timeline and omg if mine goes that fast I better rush a couple things here.

Congrats and many blessings on the rest of your journey. To all the others that are still waiting for your NOA2, please stay encouraged and know that GOD will see you through this process.

Thank you very much for your words.

I have a line that I love, let me copy here (again):

"..God is my hero that I put all my faith and trust into regardless of what's happening around me. I know He will never leave me, not forsake me, and is always there when I need Him."

My life is perfect now, I'm here with my love and everything is great! I feel blessed, thank you God for all your plans, they are way better than I could have ever asked for.

Yeah, just start downloading the necessary forms from the consulate website and get your police certificates. That part is actually pretty quick in Brasil, at least for us. We are planning to schedule the medical part ASAP as we don't know how long it will take to get our appointment. The consulate doctors we spoke to told us that the chest x-ray and vaccines can be done before the actual appointment to save some time. Since the nearest doctor is in Rio, my fiance will go early for the medical and stay until the interview. We are excited and nervous to be this far along in the process. Good luck to you!

I went to my interview by myself and so did lots of other people there and we all were approved, even a girl who didn't have all the documents, she had her interview rescheduled though, but everything went well.
Everyone reading here needs to remember this: Even at embassies that are currently considered "easy," where visas are handed out like candy, new consular personnel can be transferred in anytime, and policies and attitudes can change overnight, without warning.
Not everybody is available to go for a international trip anytime.
This is the excuse that I used, and I regretted it for months (and it cost me thousands of extra dollars). This is the excuse that dozens of others have used, and some are still regretting it. If there is one thing that everyone at the filing/NOA1/NOA2 stage needs to remember, it is this: Treat the consular interview lightly, and you may sleep in the bed that you've made for yourself.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

And where did I say there is one "easy" Embassy? The Consulate in Rio de Janeiro is just like the others and NO, it's not an obligation for the USC attend to the interview. And I even heard that some USCs were even denied to enter. So, it's up to each one that knows how is their situation going.

Not everybody is available to go for an international trip anytime.

Well, when something like that happens it could be: either there's something wrong with the process (or the CO thinks that there is something wrong) or there are issues between Immigration and the beneficiary's country.

I am confident about what I am saying to Beinha because I know her, i know her fiancé and I know their process.

And none of the people I've contacted and/or helped with advices about K-1 needed the USC present at the interview. My main advice is: read a lot, be patient, never lie, do the right thing and trust in God.

Peace and good luck to all. :star::luv:

Read more. All the people I trust that have extensive experience say that it is VERY beneficial (success speaking) for the fiance to be at the interview.

moving right along

Si, man, and it remains true that embassy personnel can be transferred in at any time, and policies and attitudes can change at any time WITHOUT notice. Assume nothing regarding ANY consular interview!

CONGRATULATIONS! You do hold the record for that! I am sure everything is pre-planned already in God's time. And so, whatever it is that He has set forth for your journey, move on and take hold of that glory. It's natural for some people to feel envious, considering they went the same process as you did, waited for months, and still waiting... like me! But that's alright. And whatever the USCIS did with your petition, it is out of the question. You both are just so damn lucky for the 16 days process! I am happy that things really happen by surprise sometimes.

Go celebrate and continue the few more steps ahead. But never forget to keep the faith and of course, the very important thing that had drove us all in this journey, LOVE
