i just filed for my i-864 form. i didnt work all of 2008 because i was with my wife in the philippines who had a difficult pregnancy so i had to be with her. will that affect the decision of the NVC? but i have a cosponsor who will help me. thanks everyone for ur help

i think u can file a waiver that show why u did not work.

but also check with others in vj there are so great people smart people who give great advices.

Our time line for CR1 visa took only 5 months and 1 week or 156 days; from the filing the I-130 on the 03-12-2009 to Approval of NOA2 on the 05/13/2009, then Interview on the 08/18/2009 at Manila, Philippines. We had a daughter on the 11-12-2010 named AISHA JOY means HAPPY LIFE.a1_opt-1.jpga2_opt-1.jpga3_opt-1.jpg

With a co-sponsor, you wil be fine.

If you did not file any tax documents, you will need to submit a letter explaining why (ie you were in the Philipines and not working, thus had no income to need to file taxes for). My husband did that and there was no problem.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.
