Thanks. The notice came just in time for the Holiday season. It certainly alleviated all the frustration and annoyance we had. We can now look forward to a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Years. :-)

To those few still waiting, good luck. I hope you get your notices in the next several days so that you guys can also be in a better mood to celebrate the holidays. :star:

I think everyone should move to the States that allow you to apply to CSC then everyone would've been approved by now so we can all enjoy Christmas and the new year!!! :P

SIRLANCELOT - why did yours take so long? I'm actually still waiting for mine to get approved. Mailed petition on 8/31/09, went in for biometrics on 10/6/09, got a notice to get bio re-taken so I went on 11/2/09. Since then I haven't heard anything, nothing. It is really stressful.

I have no idea. There was no RFE request. There was no additional interview set up for us. I really have no idea why ours should have taken so much longer to adjudicate than many of the other applicants in this forum. But at least it's finally over. I hear you and empathize with your stress. Our case didn't give us as much stress as it gave us frustration and annoyance at the long wait, as compared to many others. Sometimes the frustration did turn to stress, but there was no question that our application would be ultimately approved, so most of the time it was just annoyance at the unfair and unequal speed with which CSC processed our application.

Thanks sir! the folks on here are really supportive : ) I guess frustration is a better word to describe how I'm feeling. I'll post later if I hear anything from them. My husband thinks it's taking awhile because it's holidays. lol

hmm... well folks, I wish I had discovered this wonderful community before I sent my I-751 package in August. After reading other people's posts, I don't think I compiled my supporting documents well. These are the documents we submitted: the recent monthly statements of joint bank account (the last 3 months), a copy of joint health insurance, a copy of joint auto insurance, tax returns filed jointly from 2007-08.

I didn't include a cover letter, affidavit from friends and family, or pictures. Most importantly, I did not include the evidence of joint tenancy. I obtained ownership of the house through inheritance and property deed is in my name. My husband and I live together, but I don't plan on adding him (or anyone) to the deed. We pay our utility bills, property tax, and other bills from our joint account.

Oh and also the copies of bank statements. Argh....I wasn't sure if I should have included statements from all previous years or what, so just submitted the last 3 months from August. Also when I was making copies of bank statements at Kinko's, I might have stapled wrong statements together. Argh...

Anyways, we'll see what happened. Be it RFE or an interview, we're ready to do whatever they ask.

Depending on the reviewing officer, you might get an RFE. I feel the same about discovering this forum after I mailed my form...

The only comfort in this is that you do have much more additional evidence if you do get an RFE. It is a hastle nonetheless.

UPDATED :dance:

We got our Approval letter in the mail today. No email, No text, No update online - but received a letter from Homeland Security Congratulating hubby on removal of conditions and to expect Greencard in 60 days. The letter was dated 12/10/09.

The funny thing is the letter went to our first address (which happens to be my parents house). We did change our address over year ago but still manage to receive notifications at both addresses. So, no idea which house the greencard will show up at. lol

The best part of this is that it was received TODAY - which is Hubby's Birthday. The best present you could ever get. :)

Hang in there everyone - looks like VSC is finally moving and trying to get them out by the end of the year. Yay!
