My fiance and I are permanently residing here in the Philippines and are planning to travel to the U.S. for our wedding as my parents and family are living there. We will be returning to the Philippines for a second wedding for our family and friends here. We do not plan to stay in the U.S. as we have our jobs and consider Philippines are home.

Has anyone been in this situation or has gone through this process? Please let us know which option is best for us.

Thanks in advance!

No point in filing for a K1 if you are planning on living elsewhere. Just file for a spousal visa if you choice to move to the US down the road.

She will be applying for a tourist visa. The onus is on her/you two to show no immigrant intent.

Show strong ties to home (Phillipines) for your wife. For you as well. Letters from employers. Home ownership / lease.

Thank you for responding to my post.

Besides the Letters from employers. Home ownership / lease. When we apply for it what else will they be asking for, for proof? Do we bring pictures and proof that we are a couple?

Detailed info would be much appreciated.

Thank you in advance!
