hey guys,

i've been here in CA since july 15th, and my wedding is set for September. We are going to get our marriage license next week. I just wanna ask for tips. What documents will I need on securing the license? Thanks.. Anyone in Riverside County?

Sept. 09, 2008 Consulate received
Sept. 16, 2008 Appointment notice received
Sept. 23, 2008 Filed Jap. police clearance
Sept. 24-25, 2008 Medical exam Done. Thank God I'm healthy
Oct. 03, 2008 Interview date
Nov. 11, 2008 Got a call from Jap. Embassy PC ready for pick up
Nov. 13, 2008 Picked up and submitted the Police clearance to USEM
Nov. 28, 2008 Visa is ready for delivery
Dec. 02, 2008 Visa in transit to Cebu (delayed bcuz Dec. 1 was holiday)
Dec. 03, 2008 Visa received abot na jud tawn Thank you Lord.
Dec. 08, 2008 POE Hawaii, Honolulu
Dec. 09, 2008 Got married (wedding and honeymoon in Hawaii)
Dec. 12, 2008 Newly wed couple flew to SFO, CA

First off we made a mistake when we went to the one in la by thinking we could pay the $70 by Amex , I don't think they take credit cards, not sure about debit cards, hubby had.to run out of the building and get cash from a machine. So I definatly know they take cash but there was list of payment methods not acceptable. On their wall

From memory I know I had my passport. I cannot remember if I gave anything else. I Dont remember that She wanted to see my birthcertificate. She used hubbys ca dl

and took it's code down in a specific box. I think we took more proofs than they looked at. I know I put our current residence as my home address but can't remember if she asked to see proof of it, and it certainly wasn't on my passport.

I know I googles it a million times it's all on the Internet just type how to apply for California marriage licence.

hi.... im next to riverside county! i live in Lomalinda!

when my cousin applied for marraige cert here in San Bernardino Hall of records... all they need was the passport! and im for sure they paid 80bucks...

------USCIS-- married since March 28, 2005 - I130 filed: july 27, 2007

NOA #1: Aug 6, 2007 NOA #2: Oct. 29, 2009 - APPROVED

--NVC--December 12, 2009 - Case# generated from NVC

December 17, 2009 - hubby received his letter from NVC[/font]

April 13, 2010 - received DS-3032 via email

April 19, 2010 - sent back DS-3032 to NVC thru DHL (did not email a copy)

April 23, 2010 - DS3032 was received per operator and reviewed, received IV and AOS bill thru mail.

April 29, 2010 - paid AOS ($70) fee bill

April 30, 2010 - paid IV fee bill ($400.00 each beneficiary)

May 01, 2010 - AOS shows "PAID" in the system, printed cover sheet.

May 05, 2010 - iv bill shows "PAID"

June 24, 2010 - sent AOS via USPS/certified and prioritized

July 14, 2010 - received RFE. nvc is requesting again for Tax Transcript 2009

Sept 14, 2010 - Mailed RFE documents via usps

Sept 22, 2010 - mailed complete DS-230 via DHL

Oct 14, 2010 - received RFE about beneficiary's police clearances

Nov. 30, 2010 - sent corrected DS-230 with correct years of residency via USPS

Dec. 21, 2010 - CASE COMPLETED!!!

April 28, 2011 - interview date was set to JUNE 28, 2011 @6:30AM

June 15, 2011 - MEDICAL EXAM and will be back fri (6/17/11) for results

June 28, 2011 - Interview

July 12, 2011 - arrived at LAX - and we'll live happily ever after!

Bring all your immigration papers, just in case they need it. When my husband and I applied for a marriage cert., they never require any paper/document from us. They just ask our names and the fee. As easy as that. But every city/state has different policies. Good luck!

my tip - have your usc soon to be spouse call the courthouse and find out what documents are needed.
