WE GOT MARRIED!!!!!!!!

So today we met our reverend for our religious/family wedding of september again and she married us :)

It was decided yesterday when we met her for the ceremony details.

Today we came with our witnesses (Chad's brother and wife) and we met in a park.

It was very quick but good. We took pictures of our first kiss as married couple, first dance, first family picture :) it was really funny!

The reverend is going to put the certificate in the mail to go to the clerk's office today and we have a copy so i can change my SSN.

I think the certificate needs to be certified for AOS so we'll go to the clerk's office next week to ask for a certified marriage certificate.

Hopefully we can mail everything mid-august :D

We're so happy, it's great! Right after the mini ceremony, we went to the hotel for the reception to decide on the menu. Now we're going to pick our rings, busy day!

Oh and I had to sign the certificate with my new married name signature haha!!!

Congrats!!!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied,that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1
