No, I went to one in Plymouth (which is where we are, so it was really close).

Very, very friendly staff. They do a lot of immigration stuff. They were considerably more than other reviews on here & required the Tb & syphillis tests. I don't really understand it completely....on the I-693 it asks those 2 tests be done, yet people say you don't need them/have gotten away without doing them.

If it didn't say it on the form, I wouldn've questioned it, but how do you when it's on I-693?

Anyways, I have to go back Friday for them to check my arm from the Tb test, then I get my papers.

If you're looking for a cheap place, you can try others, but I would definitly recommend this place.

Am I allowed to post their web site?

AP came in the mail today! I just had two consecutive touches and no status change. That makes me wonder whether one of the last two touches on my AOS could be an approval....We'll just have to see!

No extra fees :) Don't know if you already did the medical transcription, if not then a possibility that's what it is, but wait until you actually see it. They give you a good amount of time too to send it back in.

My RFE had to do with financial things, instead of my medical being transcribed. ( I hadn't done that when I sent in the AOS ) My case was transferred after sending back the RFE, and my GC was ordered a month later.

Don't worry yet!! I'm sure it's an easy peasy RFE.. :)

Aww. Thanks for your support! & Thanks to everyone else sending me their love. Turns out, it's actually just requesting more information on the household member (my Father-in-Law) who's helping support me. They just need a copy of his US passport/Certificate of Naturalization. Sending it in as of tomorrow!

On the bright side -- I also got my biometrics! So hopefully this will all work out & process quickly.

That's actually good. I hope they fix the problems. I still had my AP under "initial review" but I got my AP yesterday in the mail, so they are probably not as up-to-date on the info.

Nope, mine was transferred after my EAD was approved.

And I agree with you Sapphire -- they say it takes 6 months or so, so I guess if it hasnt been a year, it shouldnt be a problem...

Okay, quick question.

I posted this earlier on the AOS forum over there, but it's quite quiet so I thought maybe y'all can help me out! I'll basically copy + paste what I put. Basically...

My husband & I submitted my AOS while living with his parents. When we sent it in, both my husband along with my father-in-law both sponsored me. My husband filled out the Affidavit of Support (Form I-864) and my Father-in-Law filled out the Contract Between Sponsor and Household Member (Form I-864a).

However, I received a pink RFE -- it states that I have to submit ALL the information requested below at one tie, and to send it to US Department of Homeland Security in Lee's Summit, MO. This is what it says:

For the household member's income to be included in the household income, the household member's income must have been from a lawful source and earned while the household member was authorized to work in the United States.

Please submit evidence that the household member (my Father-in-Law's name) on Form I-863, Affidavit of Support, or Form I-864A Contract Between Sponsor and Household Member, was authorized to work in the United States. Examples include one of the following: (and then it lists it all).

My questions are:

a) Do I have to have my Father-in-Law fill out Form I-864 along WITH I-864a, or just have him fill out Form I-864A again?

b) Would the following in an envelope sent back to USCIS it would be okay to resend out? Would that be all that's required?

- Letter of RFE

- Form I-864A Signed

- Copy of his birth certificate

- Copy of the Certificate of Naturalization

- Copy of US Passport

Any help would be great since I intend to send this back out asap! Thanks so much

I don't know if there's any difference between using a household member's income and using a co-sponsor... fairly certain that with a co-sponsor, you must fill out an I-864 for your spouse and an I-864 for the co-sponsor.

Perhaps, to be safe, file both?

Hopefully someone with experience on this can pipe in.

Nope, mine was transferred after my EAD was approved.

And I agree with you Sapphire -- they say it takes 6 months or so, so I guess if it hasnt been a year, it shouldnt be a problem...

Oooh, thanks for that, Darkchilde. Now I still have hope! Haha.
