I just applied for our marriage certificates today. The online thing is not working and they charge you 4 dollars to use the online payment... so we're doing it by mail.

I really hope it doesn't take very long. Then we have to ask my husband's dad if he can sign a co-sponsor form. I'm not really looking forward to that.

Oh trust me, I wish we could be too! I don't really want an interview, but I dont think theres much choice

Looks like we're AOS buddies (I sent my package the same day you did), kinda like we were K-1 "Call DOS" buddies. YAY!

My package was delivered on Tuesday. Wonder how long it'll take for them to send me an email or txt message about it.

Rhiann, I don't know if it's feasible for you, but I just went directly to the court house to get my marriage cert. It was $10/copy and they gave it to me right away. If you could do that, would save some hassle.

No, it's not feasible.

The courthouse is in Las Vegas

I dont want to drive 4 hours there and back just to pick up 2 pieces of paper.

I'll wait for it in the mail.

One question. Did anyone get an RFE for sending just the form they gave you from the medical? I sent mine in with just that, but I'm trying to figure out what the odds are that I might get an RFE for it. I'm not missing any shots. I'm just all concerned now that they will send me an RFE for it.

And Peachy, I'm proud to be your AOS buddy!

I've heard some people got RFE's, some didn't. I just sent in the I-693 just in case. I, of course, didn't do the TB skin test, either, so I hope that won't be a problem...

I think they are stricter with the I-693. I think you still have to get a CS transcribe your vaccination, and then send that with your application. I got an RFE for the medical even though I sent the I-693. I still dont know why but I think its cause they missed it in the package.

I got my AP yesterday! No message alert or change of message status on my USCIS file, but its here! Its just a piece of paper with a big picture of my face (horrible pic too!) and I got two of them...

And my EAD has been sent! Yay!

Finally married... and still married... ;)

That's a real hard call. I've seen a lot of people get RFE's for them. For some reason I haven't, and all I sent was what they gave me at the medical too. I'm really hoping that now it's transferred I won't get an RFE for it..

Cool. You might find your EAD and AP approved not long after that. The EAD card comes with your thumb print on it! I was wondering why I had to bring my NOA for my EAD to the appointment. Course, the guy didn't even look at that!

Oh, and bring your marriage certificate too. I don't know if anyone else did, but I thought of it the last minute and I'm glad I did, because they asked for it here.

Thanks! Do you know if we have to go at the specific time, or it's on a first-come-first-served basis? Mine is at 3PM, but it would be nice if I could go in the morning.

I think you have to go by your appointment time. I suppose you could try to contact the office and see if it's possible to move you up. It could all be depending on their hours though, and if they have other things to do in the mornings.

Like Vancouver interviews are always, ( as far as I know) at 1:00 pm.

It was the weirdest thing.

We applied for 2 marriage certificates the way the person at the Clark County office in Nevada told us to, and now we get something from this "Document Retrieval Service" saying it costs 25 dollars for the first one and 20 for the second one...

Oh well, I did it the way I was told to at the office. I'd rather wait a few extra days than have to spend an extra 15 bucks to get it a few days early.

Whoa, seriously Rhiann? Copies of our marriage certificate here cost $1.25. That is highway robbery, wow! How hard is it for them to print off an extra copy or two and certify it?

Tina- at the USCIS office here in Denver (the only one I can really vouch for) you come at your appointment time. I showed up about 15 minutes early and there was a room full of people waiting on interviews. About 5 minutes before our scheduled interview time we were called to the interview room, skipping ahead of the dozens of people that were there before us. So it is definitely not first come first serve. They prioritize based on scheduled interview time.

Edit: oops, you're talking about the biometrics office? Yes, here it was first come first serve! Sorry!
