Wow congrats on the approvals!! That's very good news ;)

I got 6 emails saying USCIS received my application for AOS! But no txt msg.. weird! The receipt number i got in the emails starts with "MSC..." and when i enter it in "Check my status" section, it says they can't find anything under that number.. weird again!! But at least i know my application got accepted!

Contests peachy!

We got our 6 emails and texts today! I got a little hasty and tried to check the status online and our MSC numbers aren't in the system yet. Booh!

Now we are crossing our fingers that we get transferred to CSC.

You might be better off going the interview route. I sent my AOS in June 8, was transferred to CSC and still have not even recieved my appt letter for my biometrics yet :( Kimbear sent hers the same day, and is in the same boat. I hope it goes quicker for you!

OMG!!! I just got the best email ever! My GC was approved at 7:15 tonight!

HAPPY DANCE!!!!

OOOOOH! Congrats hon! Its about damn time!!!

On a side note - apparently CA can't determine that I'm legally here so I had to go back to the DMV with my GC to prove I'm allowed to be here to see if that will help them send me my damn DL. GRRRRR.

Grats on getting your notices and for the record..lots of coplaints about CSC xfers. From what i'm seeing you do not want to get xfered. Most of the posts are ppl waiting for 6 months. Look at peachey's timeline..almost 7 for her to get her green card..:(

I have to do the same thing but for my bank account. They have my old CDN addy there, since i do not have a green gard showing my LPR status. Even though i do have a state d/l id etc. so i can't even change my address online /sigh.

Yes! And it was a very easy interview. Just make sure you bring lots of pictures. She bugged me that I only brought three hehehe But we don't take lots of pictures of us so she was ok with that.

BTW, I finally got my DL tonight! kicking.gif

Yeah! My husband and I will likely go to the SSA on Monday to apply for his SSN and to change my name.

Ohhh I hope they let you apply. Is this his first SSN? Sometimes they don't let K1s apply after they have married already and started AOS. They make you wait for your green card. If they give you trouble, ask to speak to a manager. Good luck! Let us know how it goes

I applied for SSN for the first time in married name 1 week after my wedding, and 1 day before sending my AOS package. I'm still waiting on it, but it has only been 1week ½ since i applied. I didn't get any problems when i was there to apply, let's see what happens after, if i will ever get my SSN in the mail!
