I could be wrong, but I think it says no the NOA1. Maybe 180 days? 6 months? As long as you have your EAD and AP, I wouldn't worry about it too much.

I felt like I waited an eternity and then was all prepared to make an INFOPASS and it showed up.

Thanks :). I know I'm just whining... I'll stop now :P I am thankful for all the other wonderful things I have. Especially my Varba, he's pretty awesome.

Congrats!!!

No offense to you, but your timeline makes me cry :(

Sorry Peachey! It was not my intention!

I just thought that the new Green Card production maybe speeded up a bit...because it has been pretty slow when they started to make the new one!

So I thought that maybe some people would be happy to see that they seem speeding up a bit!

Hope you will get it soon!

Take care

If it makes you feel any better Peach, I'm still waiting too. Not as long as you have, but no touches even on mine since May 4th (after biometrics). Sigh! But like Sapphire said, it's not so bad as long as you have AP and EAD already. Actually, I've even forgotten to check into the USCIS website every day

Depends on how busy your local ASC office is. Says it right on your receipt for your I-485

It was pretty easy. We were there for like 10 minutes. She asked for our driver's licenses and my passport, she asked some questions, how we met, how many times have we visited each other, what do we have in common. She took my EAD, then asked for proofs of marriage. I gave our joint account statements and health insurance statements. She asked for some pictures and about when our wedding ceremony is going to happen. Then she said that my green card will come in the mail in 2 to 3 weeks and if we have any questions. All in all, very fast. I'm happy it's over for the next two years! :D

Just to fill you guys in...I spoke to the USCIS office today because my case was transferred to CSC 3 months ago and they basically told me now the wait is 6 months, not 3.

Along with this they also gave me this piece of info. When your case is transferred to CSC this does not mean they are looking at anything about your file in California. In fact they transfer your file BACK to your local office and get approved from there. So it's actually your local office that decides whether you get an interview or not.

People using the West Palm Beach office: they informed me that they are only now processing CSC transfers from Dec. of 2009. So it looks like I have to call back in a month, month and a half and hope they are looking at the end of Jan. 2010 files at that time.

So why bother telling us that a transfer to CSC almost always means no interview when in reality they just transfer your case back to your local office anyway. What's the point of transferring it to begin with?

because USCIS doesn't know what they are talking about? Some files do actually get transferred back but they wouldn't send it to CSC just to sit there doing nothing. I honestly think that one hand has no idea what the other hand actually does.
