I've always been under the impression that ROC is pretty simple, at least from what I've heard people say here in the Canada forum (aside from Sprail's not so great experience). Then again, I haven't been thinking about it at all... It just seems too far off for me to worry about.

I got my GC in November, and now they make them pretty? I wish there was a trade in system :P

hey Arabella,

Did you include that extra page with the I-131 saying why Sean might need to travel outside of the USA before he gets his GC? There's a template somewhere in the guides.

If you didn't, I don't think it will be a big deal.

No I did not. Part 4 had a box labled "Information About Your Proposed Travel" so I put in there that he wanted to visit his family in Canada and that we wanted to go on a cruise to the Bahamas. It said "if you need more room, continue on a separate sheet of paper" but I didn't need more room.

Isn't that the same thing?

I see the form now, I-131 supplement, part 7. No, I didn't even notice that. It basically says that I am filing the I-131 with the I-485, and that Sean hasn't overstayed past the 180 days. Well, both of those facts are obvious from my packet, so hopefully this won't mess up my application.

Bah. I should probably send the form in now. It's too bad I didn't notice it before.

I went ahead and completed the supplement. I made a cover letter explaining the supplement, and then made a new mailing envelope with a label indicating that the supplement is inside and is to go with the AOS packet.

I hope I am good now!

I received my interview letter last week...few weeks after the bio. Hopefully you hear something soon (at least whether or not you have an interview).

Sorry to sound negative, but the chances of that supplement actually making it to the same place and meeting up with your AOS packet is pretty slim. A typical AOS packet will travel through dozens of people and several different offices before you actually see that Green Card. There have been a lot of stories on VJ- not necessarily just for AOS, but with visa processes where people have tried to preempt an RFE by sending out additional information or forms after the fact and the information never actually made it to their original submission.

However, I really wouldn't worry about it. You are definitely not the first person to leave out the supplement. Someone did this around the time I was going through AOS and they got their AP without a problem. I think it was maybe SapphireDreams?

its so weird. on the USCIS website when i put noa1 receipt number in it says nothing is found. is this like the check the update on your i-129f k1 petition, except it never EVER shows anything? ...how annoying.
