That's true enough. I will just ask HR for a letter before the interview, and bring it with me. They'll want a current date anyway.

Who knows, maybe I'll be one of the lucky ones who doesn't have to have an interview?

Funny thing about that is, it appears that those who get interviews actually get their green card much faster than those who don't.

Well Friday i should be finally sending out our AOS packet. We spent a little too much on some wedding stuff and it put us back a bit. I am not looking forward to dealing with uscis again /sigh. Really really wanna be able to work. I kinda miss feeling dependant and doing my own thing and having money. Being able to go buy something without worrying if we can fill up the gas in car..OMG the price of gas here..3.30 a gallon..#######. :(

I just sealed up my AOS packet and will mail it after work today. Before I sealed it, I took a picture so that I could share it. I ended up doing a lot of color labeling to help organize the documents. I also took the liberty of making a mailing label with our picture on it, and also inserting a picture on my cover letter. I figured they get 100s of these and I wanted mine to stand out.

Yeah, just spotted it in the OT thread. I've been away from VJ for over a week for a California vacation, just now getting caught up. :D

While I'm excited about the green, I'd settle for some butt-ugly replacement in the interim just to have the damn thing in hand already. They're going to wait the full thirty days. It will arrive the morning we leave for Ohio (Day 30), I'm sure of it.

You can't actually work, yet...but you can start looking. I'm sure the EAD if not the GC will show up soon, although now that they are making them "green" cards...might be a while for that. The EAD didn't change so at least you can start working.

EEEeeeeek.... I haven't even "peeked" at any of the ROC paperwork....I hope it's not to bad....

The ROC paperwork itself is really easy.

It's like... 2 pages long.

I think the "hard" part is all the evidence you have to submit with it.
