the ds-130 was sent months ago, but i am freaking out that the delay will mean they threw out our case!

i wrote an email to the consulate, but HELP!

anyone else have delays or know the circumstances under which a case will be closed?!

I'm pretty sure that the NOA2 has a 4 month period of validity...the consulate can and does extend it if needed. But if you have waited this long I don't know what to tell you, better get on the phone or email and find out what they got to say.

Good Luck

Yes, call the embassy ASAP and ask if your NOA2 is still valid. There is a possibility of you having to start over.
