hi again. it's me. :|

there was an, admittedly, long time between getting our noa2 and scheduling the medical for my fiancee. i hope this does not cause any delays or problems in getting our interview date?

about how long after the medical will it usually take to get the interview date?

thank you!

For Canada its based on the consulate getting the information they need (for K1's its the packet 3) not on the medical date. Once the consulate gets the checklist and DS-230 back, they put you in queue, right now about 2-3 months to get an interview at montreal, I think 2 months for vancouver. So if you haven't gotten the packet 3 back to them, that will be whats holding it up. I would also make sure you check with the consulate as your NOA2 was quite some time ago and if you have had no contact with them I would be concerned about them extending the NOA2's validity properly (its good for 4 months, but they usually increase the time limit automatically if they have paperwork back from you and they are waiting on something specific, not sure what would happen if they haven't heard from you since Feb.) If you have already sent in your P3 you should have already been scheduled for an interview as they do them whether your medical is done or not, and then they just hold the approval pending your medical results.

the ds-230 was the online form, right?

god i hope our long delay doesn't mean they've thrown our case out or anything! :o

thanks for the reply!

Uh, no, the DS-160 was the online one. The DS-230 they send with the checklist (though you can download the form as well) but its a 2 part form, only need part 1, and it has to be sent back in with the checklist to them to put you in line. I would fire off an email to the consulate today just to make sure that everything is ok, they won't get back to you till Monday but I would send it just to make sure :D

i've only completed and sent the online ds-130! we needed to save up the money for the trip and the medical, which is why there was such a delay.

not your fault!

i've just emailed the consulate. hopefully everything is fine!!!!! AUGH!
