Hello,

Was wondering which Fiance Petition Approval document is required for I-485 Application? There not very specific in their instructions. Also my wife soon has a valid visa and is currently visiting San Jose California and was also wondering if he should complete I-485 separately? Also how long is the wait for Residence Approval?

NOA 2 form.

I don't understand your second question clearly - can you elaborate?

Third question - varies - I've seen cases from 4 months to 2 years.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

WARNING: Phrases in this post may sound meaner than they were intended to be. Read the Adjudicator's Field Manual from USCIS

That long? Even if it's K-1? Most I seen has been 4 months. I was just wondering if someone has any personal experience. My second questions is abut my wife son whom is in the US under a Tourist Visa and want to adjust his status. He did not come over as a K-2 although he was with my wife in Juarez during interview process..

4 months is long?? Erm, ok.

And entry on a K1 visa has nothing to do with how fast (or slow) you'll be approved. You're in line with everyone else - better get used to that concept VERY rapidly when you're dealing with immigration...!
