3 passport type photos for the Medical

2 more passport type photos for the interview

WHY? I have submitted 2 passport photos when doing the I130s

and then 2 more for the DS-230 package

I have notice in some of the threads that a physical copy of the NOA2 is required to have when going to the medicals, is this true?

Ok - lots of questions

The pictures are required for various departments for this process. Some have received their photos back at the interview others have not. The easiest thing to do would be to submit whatever they ask for.

Once you have your interview date you may go to one of the 4 doctors in Canada to do the medical, not the NOA-2. Take your interview letter to the doctor's office. Where are you located? Toronto has 1, Vancouver has 1 and Montreal has 2 I think.

After the medical they will go and pick up the results. DO NOT open them. If there is an issue with any of the testing they will tell you before the results are given to you. You will submit the unopened package at the interview

After the interview, the passport will be mailed to your wife with the visa in it. She has 6 months to enter the US. She will receive a stamp in her passport which can be used to go to school, get an SSN, driver's licence, etc until she gets her physical green card.

Canadian passports? I guess your family will keep them. They will need the visa contained in the passports for the first weeks of being in the US. As long as they want to maintain Canadian citizenship I suggest they keep them.

They actually must keep them. The green card is only good for entry to the U.S. If you travel to any other country they'll need their passports to enter.

As for the medical, for an additional $50 you can have the medical results mailed to you so no need for another trip to Toronto
