M and F, thanks for the support on the previous thread, that's real sweet of you  I see you're going through a rough spot, same with me and Nancy here too.. I can't help but wonder if this is some mid-NOA2 crisis most people suffer during this process. We don't have any for sure dates, we've already been waiting patiently for so long, we're scared of RFE's and to the boarder of letting this whole thing dominate both night and day! It's not all that strange that we're freaked out and being emotional wrecks right now. And you know what? It's totally okay too! It's not normal for most people to go through what we're doing right now, but at least we're all in on this together AND we are making progress, even though not as quickly as we'd like - because I'm sure if it was up to us, and not the government, we'd all be getting our happily ever after ending already! (L) Just hang in there, and we'll get there eventually!

Nancy, I'm so sorry to hear that you're having a hard time with the timeline. I thought London was a bigger and more efficient embassy than the one I got here in Norway. Our processing time is rougly a month, and for some reason I thought the UK was close to our waiting time. You may not have this christmas with your honey, but you know - you'll have each and everyone after this! I know it's not much of a comfort right now, but some years from now this will all be but a sore memory. I don't know if many of us Julyers will be able to spend christmas together with our loved ones, but we'll be spending all the holidays of 2010 and then thereafter together, get married!! - and basically start our new lives together. Just try to keep your chin up, it'll be alright in the end, you know :luv:

wow - i must really be having an emotinal day - i'm crying about everything today ... just read your post and you had me tearing up with what you wrote to Nancy.

it is a mid crisis for sure!!!!!!!!

Yes i'm obsessing over packets now.

go figure.

LOL Thank you. That was my first laugh of the day.

Here's my HALF educated response, meaning I know what things are called, but not why they're called that.

There is no packet one or two. Packet three is all the forms your fiance will need to send back to the embassy. In London, it's not really even a packet anymore - it's a letter and link of where to download forms. Packet 4 is the letter saying they received packet 3 and giving him his interview date and time. Both of those go to him, not you.

Why they're called 3 and 4 when there are no 1 or 2 is a question for someone who's been around here a lot longer than me.:wacko:

Thank you :) I have been wondering for 2 months now but i felt stupid asking anyone bc i felt like i must have missed something along the way....so 3/4 just another way for them to make things harder ...geesh - instead of just using 1/2.

anyway.

So... I went over the July 2008 CSC thread... they were all receiving NOA2s from Nov-Feb. So at least we can feel good about getting our NOA2s in October HOPEFULLY.

Here's a post I loved from them.... "Well... maybe I'm the odd one here, but I think it's crazy that there's a K1 visa at all. Since there's still AOS to make it legal to stay afterwards, there's already something in place to check backgrounds, do interviews, etc. I think it's cruel and unusual punishment by our government to keep me apart from the person I want to marry and charge me a ton of money to do it. And think of the people on K3/K2... that's even worse, keeping people from their own current family members! I'd advocate ditching this stupid K system all together and allow adjusting from visitor visas.... but that's just me.

"

It's interesting to go through and see what they were going through mid-Sept. If you're ever really bored and lonely I'd suggest it. Not that I'm admitting to being bored and lonely. That was last week... and now all of you girls are in the same spot I was when I came home from being with him. :(

Pessimistic by far!!!!!!!! But we don't know what the weekend is going to bring. Wasn't it similar to this last week and we had no clue if anyone got approved? It seems like CSC is not alerting for a day or two. :crying:

I'm with you, ladies. PESSIMIST EXTRAORDINAIRE!!

I am in a serious funk this week, and I can't seem to shake it! It got much harder once we felt like we were getting really close. It used to just be "we'll be waiting a long time." Then, there was this possible light at the end of the tunnel getting closer and brighter...then we stopped moving.

:( :( :(

I'm too down to even want to theorize on what's happening at CSC. I'm just wallowing in the world of "this process sucks. period."

Ok so this week sucks. I'm hoping for some big old surprise tomorrow with last minute updates. I am so frustrated (no surprise to all of you)

Didn't I say that it just seems so much harder to wait because we are so close ...

I realized something tonight... We are pretty close to the end of september :) on a good note, tomorrow is the 18th! At least this month is almost over.

Ugh. Trying to be positive.
