Major highlights fta:

"expects to have a bill ready by Labor Day that is more generous to highly skilled immigrant workers than those who are lower skilled and is tough on future waves of illegal immigration.

The department also said it is abandoning a Bush administration plan to force employers to fire workers who can't resolve a mismatch between their Social Security numbers don't match their names. The administration said it would come up with a new rule."

So, in other words, increase quota of H-1B visas.

still sounds like a legal wash to me to get rid of the illegal problem that now exists, it really does nothing to help people like perviz and i caught up in their legal black hole.

until our government is willing to fix the problems in immigration that are destroying the life of current citizens of the USA legally petitioning for k1 or marraige visa, any involvement to legalize illegals is like a slap in the face to those of us that have been working so many years to get it done the legal way.

thats just my opinion
