What is that? I read in the Sherrif's main post for newbies about those having a delayed BC may want to get verified at NSO. Can anyone translate this for me? Thanks.

Correct me if am wrong.. could be needs to get an authenticated birth certificate from the NSO.

Yes, try to apply for a NSO-issued birth certificate as early as now. Sometimes, NSO do not have on file BCs of those whose birth were registered late. If discovered early, this could potentially save at least 6-8 weeks of waiting time for applicants as they try to register their BC with NSO while waiting for NOA2.

If BC is registered late for a couple of years, I suggest that your fiancee bring an original copy of her Baptismal Certificate.

Just in case, the CO would make it a big deal. I got lucky on bringing mine upon my Embassy interview. My friend wasn't so lucky though.
