Good MOANing and Happy MOANday !

I have to see if I can get the dog cremated today. Im not ready for this.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

 Have adventures! Go on the water. Swim with the dolphins. Spend time in the sun swimming at the beach! Try food I want to try.

LOL It is possible you will enjoy your time he is away slightly more then when he is there---as far as adventure, and not having to prepare him foods and being able to go eat what you want.

Looking out the window smelling the salty air wondering if he's on the bus yet and if the coast is clear. Now for some courage to venture out alone knowing he's not in the same city. I know of one beach right now I can go to. Maybe I'll search the virtual beaches first.

Just be careful about being harassed. :)

I meant to ask, remember the thread you made about what to bring with you? What stuff did you bring that you found you could have left, and what didn't you bring that you wish you had?

Living with hubby in Egypt, at last.

That's my concern the being harassed at the beach part because I'm alone but his friend told me there is a beach I can go to and not worry about it and it's close to me.

I had a long talk with my Mom and she said the bathing suit is only an issue because I allow it to be an issue. Last night Waleed tried to inspect my clothes before I went out and it's an outfit I wore before out. I said I'm not playing this game anymore. I'm 30 years old. I'm not a Muslim. I'm in a tourist town, and I'm American. I can wear what I want and I can most certainly wear a one piece bathing suit especially in the US or I'd stick out.

He sat there quietly and said, "ok". Even though you could tell he wasn't ok.

Then at the cafe last night his friend who is/was also married to a foreigner said he felt sorry for me I don't get to go out and have fun and suggested spending 2 hours at the beach daily and he knew of one I could go to. Then he explained again their perception and why it was important and I said I understand that and then explained my perception. That it's my right. That it's normal for me. That it's something that I used to enjoy and now I feel that something that really made me happy was taken away from me. That the salt water also ruins my clothes so a bathing suit is appropriate and women wear less then I do. Ethical reasons aren't why I stop from doing it but rather for the reason I don't want a fight with him over it.

Things I could have left behind are the long sleeve clothes and pants mostly and the flu and cold medicine. Things I should have brought were on the list such as sun screen or more face cream and a bottle of Tylenol and more long tank tops to wear under shirts.
