Anyone else here alone for the 3rd and 4th? I didn't think it would bother me and I'm totally kicking myself for not just tagging along and being a third wheel with some of my friends. (they're all married).

We have fireworks here tonight on the beach and I'm not going because I'm stupid. Seriously I can do anything alone. Heck I flew to a totally foreign country where I don't know the language alone! Why do I care about walking to the fireworks alone? It's been really cloudy here for, oh I dunno, a month and a half and I swear it's affected my emotions something fierce. *sigh*

Why are you calling yourself stupid? You should just drag yourself out and will probably feel 100% better when you are out there. Sounds like you may be mildly depressed, tho I have battled depression this past year and it kicked my azz, still even with the meds I had to literally drag myself out of the house kicking and screaming sometimes

I am alone also this holiday, go enjoy the Fourth with your friends

It's not too late is it? Give them a call and have them meet you on the beach. A night out might actually make you feel better. I know when I get down like that, I have to drag myself out of the house, but I end up being glad that I did.

It's 6:42 am here on the 4th of July. Waleed went to work last night and I convinced him to start his break on the 4th and spend that day with me! I want to make a celebration with BBQ chicken legs and cake! He was supposed to leave yesterday and I was supposed to be alone for the 4th while he goes to Cairo for the medical check but this gave me sad also so I changed it and you can too.

Waleed is home and it's a gorgeous 90 degree day here. Much cooler than it's been lately. We're going to the water today but he said he does have to work today as the guy is out of town and he will have tomorrow off for sure but has to leave for Cairo.

Bridget, I have to work night both the 3rd and the 4th, but I didnt have to work I would have stayed home and did a spa night for myself. A long hot bubble bath, candles, facial, pedicare and just relaxed the whole night.

I know how you feel Bridget....Hubby decided to work today till 7 pm....I usually have the net to occupy me -we have no TV- but last night my laptop's charger died on me and now I am enjoying the last 1O minutes before it shuts down. I have no Idea what to do all day......alone! It is depressing but at least you know the city you live in...you should try to do anything while you can.

Bridget and HLM...My husband works constantly with his regular 9 to 5, then his part time evening job and those blasted side jobs. Usually I am alone no matter what day it is. If ya all lived close to me we could have a ladies night out...or two...or three...I would love the company.
