I am shocked with the letter about biometrics I just received today, and it says APPOINTMENT CANCELLED NO NEED TO APEAR AT ASC.

I had an biometrics appointment on 07/08/09 which is 10 dais from now. Then all of sudden it is cancelled????? WHY???

I thought everyboday must take biometrics but why I don't need to do it???

Is this a good news or bad news? Has anybody heard of this strange news???

My application is all cancelled??????

Please help

Thank you

I receive a similar notice too. I also suggest you still go to your biometrics appointment regardless of what the other notice says.

CDNEH, thank you so much for the information.

Many people got the same letter ,so there seems nothing wrong with my application.

Thanks again

No worries

I just got a letter saying mine (July 7th) has been cancelled too. Wonder if there's anyone with a July 7-9 appointment who hasn't had it cancelled?!

2005 - We met

2006 - Filed I-129F

2007 - K-1 issued, moved to US, completed AOS (a busy year, immigration-wise)

2009 - Conditions lifted

2010 - Will be naturalising. Buh-bye, USCIS! smile.png

Mine (July 7th) said it was cancelled as well. And underneath it it said that if I didn't show they would abandon my appication. Oh, how I love USCIS.

Yeah, they could make the cancellation notices a bit clearer! I know it's just an exact copy of the biometrics notice, but with "APPOINTMENT CANCELLED - NO NEED TO APPEAR AT ASC" on it, but the fact that immediately below that, it warns you of the dire consequences of not showing up for the appointment is a bit... odd.

On the back does it say "Just kidding!"??? Sorry guys, we didn't get this letter, but if we do, we are still going to show up at our appointment on the 7th, getting a bit late in the day to cancel!

I can see where this notice sounds both confusing and disturbing, in all serious. USCIS never ceases to amaze!
