I've never been to Pottery Barn but if she found that expensive then she'll die when she gets to Bed Bath and Beyond...yikes that place charges you an arm and a leg!!

I am going to wait a bit until everyone starts having their end of summer sales

I went to Pottery Barn today and got some cute stuff on sale and Pier 1 as well...spent about $120 on 'on sale' stuff

Done some rummaging through IKEA (probably my favourite place) and Target for some furniture when I move in (staying with his mom when I first come down, whole garage to ourselves, but lacking key items like dressers, drawers, etc), and that's probably where we'll look to when decorating our place when finances allow.

'Course, that'll be an interesting feat, as hubby-to-be would be entirely content if everything was a shade of beige...

Costco has some nice stuff also. I have had some good luck on craigslist too, as I don't have to have brand new. When my family moved to the USA in 1965, they had folding webbed patio furniture in the living room for a year before my mum made up her mind what she wanted. It was rather cool
