Pinay is in Negros Oriental with no convenient DFA office nearby. Is it worth having a travel agency help with the passport? I do hate involving "fixers" of any type. :star:

If your Pinay doesn't mind being charged more than the usual passport fee, then she may go ahead with the travel agency securing a passport for her. That's what I did when I applied for a passport. I hate falling in line in the DFA Manila. I went to the travel agency instead.

Hokey Smoke!

Rocky: "Baby, are they still mad at us on VJ?"

Bullwinkle: "No, they are just confused."

"Our Wedding Prayer"

Lord, help us to remember when we first met,and the strong love that grew between us.

To work the love into practical things so nothing can divide us

Grant us a Love that grows stronger with each passing year.

We ask for words both kind and loving

and for hearts always ready to ask forgiveness as well as to forgive.

Guide us to overcome every challenge

and keep our dreams pure to each other always.

Dear Lord,we put our marriage into Your hands.Amen

If your heart acquires strength, you will be able to remove blemishes from others without thinking evil of them.

If it's your first passport you need to go there. they will take a picture of you. you can't use a travel agency, travel agency is for renewals only.

i just got new passports for my kids and we went thru a travel agency. whether you use an agency or not, you still have to go for personal appearance however, using an agency is more convenient because you dont have to fall in line. when you get to the DFA office, the agency's liason officer will do everything for you and all you need to do is wait to be called to the window for appearance.

You can use a travel agency, and they will accompany you for the "personal appearance" at DFA which is a requirement for 1st time applicants, and of course they will charge you more. Just make sure you have your documents for the passport application.

http://www.dfa.gov.ph/consular/passport-eng.htm

PASSPORT REQUIREMENTS FOR FIRST TIME APPLICANTS

Personal Appearance is required.

Duly accomplished application form.

Birth Certificate (BC) in Security Paper (SECPA) issued by the National Statistics Office (NSO) or Certified True Copy (CTC) of BC issued by the Local Civil Registrar duly authenticated by NSO.

Three (3) colored photos of the applicant taken against a royal blue background. Applicant should be in decent attire with collar. Photo must be of good quality, and must have been taken within the last six (6) months. Photo size: 4.5 cm x 3.5 cm. Facial image size: Not less than 3 cm. DFA has the right to reject photos that do not comply with specifications and international standards.

Proof of identity / Supporting documents indicating full name, date and place of birth and citizenship

Other Supporting documents.
