Ok...I looked and looked and didn't see the Saturday MENA thread. Usually when I go ahead and post, then I see one that is already up. But I'm going to give it a whirl again today!

I hope everyone has a wonderful Saturday. It will be the best Saturday EVER for me!! My husband is in the air right now...been on the plane for about 4 hours now and should be arriving at JFK this afternoon at 4 pm...then catching his flight from JFK to Raleigh NC at 9:45 pm. He will be in my arms just shortly after midnight tonight. I am sooooooooooooooo friggin excited!! :dance:

Totally awesome Amanda!!!!!!! Did you talk to him after he checked in last night? Am curious if they charged him for his bags.

Also when he goes to check in for his domestic flight at JFK i believe they have their own VERY SMALL baggage allowence so he may be charged a bit there.

Jan 15-Back to NY we go...

May 10-made decision not to go back overseas.

July 10-filed for divorce

Jan 11-Divorce final

July 11-1st trip to take Josh to see George

Mar 12-2nd trip to take Josh to see George

Thanks so much ladies...I can barely contain myself. It seems so surreal!

Ok...so I talked to him last night like 10 times! I called me as he was leaving for Amman...which is like 1 1/2 hours from where he lives, then he called me when he was in Amman. He then called me at 4 am (my time) and said he was sitting on the plane and fortunately got a window seat (he didn't know his seat #) and they were still waiting for people to board. So we said I love you...etc...see you soon, as I was half asleep I forgot to ask him about his luggage! So since I woke up to answer his call I started to think about it after we hung up and I thought...oh geez I forgot to ask him about his luggage & if he remembered to bring that sealed envelope for immigration. So I picked up the phone to call him and his phone was off so I am assuming he was taking off!! So I guess we'll have to see what went on after he arrives in New York about the luggage. :) He did say he took out his winter clothes except for a few items before he left (since it is so friggin hot here right now he doesn't need them) and I think he was at the correct weight limit then. I am guessing he would have said something when he called me if he had a problem. :) Sooooooooooooooooo excited!!

good morning. How exciting Amanda!!!i'm so happy for you!

We stayed longer in Arizona, we had such a great time! This week went by so fast!! i need another week to recooperate from my vacation. I got somewhat of a tan but compared to the "norm", i still look like casper :P

I haven't read with what has happened this past week, i hope that everybody is doing great!

I'm trying to wake hubby up to get ready to go to my father's retirement party but he's not budging. The kids even went and jumped on the bed but he just moaned and went right back to la-la land once they stopped. I think we might carry him into the car as-is and plop him on my sister's bed when we get there if he doesn't cooperate soon!

My father is 79 years old as of 7/7/09 and Monday is his official last day at work. He refused to retire any sooner but he's somewhat of an oral surgeon and when the hands start to shake....well it's time to say goodbye. Kind of sad...it was his life, you know?

Amanda I'm so thrilled for you I can feel the excitement coming through your posts! Have a wonderful reunion if I don't come back on before he comes and we won't expect to hear from you anytime soon after that. ;)

going to be 104 here today, ahmed is still sleeping too but he got in late from a trip to texas with my son (he picks up and delivers pharmacy things) nice to get him out for awhile ha and hopeing after he gets his license he can take over part of the delivery route :thumbs:

07/28/11 USCIS cashed check

07/30/11 Recieved NOA1 and Biometrics letter

08/24/2011 Biometrics

08/25/2011 RFE sent to us for some info we've already sent in

08/30/2011 sent in the rest of info USCIS asked for

09/13/2011 went to congressman's office to sign papers for expedite of work permit, due to financial hardship

09/15/2011 Work permit expedite approved!! He can finally find a job!

09/24/2011 work permit arrives

09/26/2011 Apply for social security number!

09/30/2011 Letter is sent for interview

11/07/2011 INTERVIEW!!!

Its 2012 and still no approval! Still waiting

01/27/2012 Letter sent stating that file was sent on for more review :(
