hahaha...speaking of we just stopped at two travel agents right after dropping the passport off at AMEX

and my hubby is right next door at gulf air while i am waiting to get off work

i am soooooooooo excited. i get to see my family after 2 years and 9 months!

oh wowwww COngratulations L179 I am sooo happy for you..Since they kept his passport I am waiting for them to call to pick up the passport. I emailed embassy asking about it and they said "Please wait for our call" oh please lets just get it over with.. I want my husband here NOW!!!

ALI... any updates on your side?!!? probably he is gonna post from USA now :-)

August 14, 2006- I-130 Sent

September 22, 2008- NOA 1 Received

September 17, 2008- Became a USC

September 18, 2008- Upgraded I-130

March 20, 2009 - NOA2 (email)

March 25, 2009- NOA2 (hardcopy Received)

NVC

April 3, 2009 - Case Number Assigned

June 5, 2009 CASE COMPLETED AT NVC

June 9, 2009 Interview Date Assigned

July 16, 2009 Interview AP

August 24, 2009 DOS Operator said "VISA HAS BEEN ISSUED TODAY" Alhamdulillah

August 26, 2009 call from embassy to PICK UP THE PASSPORT :-)

August 27, 2009 Picked up the passport... woohooo!!!

September 9, 2009 US Entry InshaAllah

October 13, 2009 SSN and green card in mail DONE WITH USCIS until husband applies for his citizenship!!

The journey of 4 years, 8 months, and 3 weeks has ended!!!

and oh by the way, what are the ticket prices you are getting?

Few days ago, I explored a few options online and looked like Qatar was the cheapest at 54K but then I dont know how hubby can buy that online so I have told him to buy the ticket from Islamabad the day he picks up the passport :D

Alhamdulilah this is all great news, every week there is good news about the AP timeframe shukur alhamdulilah! .. I wonder how AP works, does it get done by the order of the interview date?... I doubt anyone has the answer to that question lol

I have a question, did the DOS update their website on administrative processing? I remember them saying most AP resolves within 60 days, and the applicant should call after 90 days. Now that I checked the website, I'm seeing something new with teh IMPORTANT NOTICE

NOA 1 06-03-2008

Case Transferred to California SC 11-14-2008

NOA2 ........................ 12/11/2008

AOS fee.....................01/15/2009

Case completed..............05/10/2009

Interview Islamabad Embassy........................06/24/2009 AP :(

They told me to wait Min 6 Weeks and no limit for Max

Received call from ISL Embassy 08/25/2009 to submit passport

Hi , i have been a silent reader of this post for a while. Reading about all the AP stuff. my parents had their immigration interview also august 21, 2009. wel, no surprise but my 70 year old dad was put on Ap. they didnt give my mom the visa either, saying that she would have to wait for my father. does any 1 have any idea how long they take for older men to get over AP.

Many many congrats......Alhamdulilah ISL is moving now...

Hopeful:No AP doesnt clear up in order of interview,it just depends on whatever and how many things they want to look in to after ur interview.ALI and my hubby had interview same day,same officer.My AP was over on August 6th Alhamdulilah and ALI's today....

Zee:AP timelines @ ISL is improving so u can say average of 1-3 months...Best of Luck

Calling DOS begins,here is what I was told

Jul 7,09 No info @ DOS

Jul 10,09 Case sent to DC-pending

Jul 17,09 Pending

Jul 24,09 Pending,you can call every day for update but the day they call him for passport it means something is up so you get to know it before we do

Jul 31,09 Pending AP

Aug 06,09 Call from USEM requesting to submit passport

Aug 07,09 Every thing looks very good,visa issuance is up to the consulate!!!

Aug 07,09 Passport submitted

Aug 07,09 USEM is requesting applicant's passport :)

Aug 17,09-call 1 Visa issued Aug 3rd,EM recvd passport on 10th but still havent returned it

Aug 17,09-call 2 Case pending some kind of processing (URGHHHHHHHHH NOT AGAIN)

Aug 18,09 call to pick up passport,picked up from AMEX

Sep 26,09 REUNION :)
