Somebody help me :crying::crying::crying: My inlaws (and by inlaws I mean 4 of them,) are all coming in from NC on Wednesday, and waited last minute to start looking for hotel rooms which are all now booked, so they'll all going to be staying in our tiny two bedroom apartment for a whole week.

This wouldn't be such a bad thing if my MIL wasn't um crazy and we had room for all of them. The way it stands now, my BIL and his wife are going to be in the spare bedroom, my MIL is going to be staying on the couch in the living room since we have no where else to put her, and my 6 year old step daughter is going to be wedged between my husband and I in our bed. We don't even have extra pillows to give them, hardly enough blankets and sheets, and our fridge/cupboards are pretty much empty since we just keep enough food around for the two of us. I have to wake up at 5am every morning, so getting ready with my MIL in the living room and not being able to change in my own bedroom is going to be awkward, along with the fact that I can't make a peep while trying to rush to get ready for work in case I wake anyone up is going to be very hard.

Am I being selfish for stressing out? I just wish we had a bit more notice that they were all going to cram into our small place...I love my inlaws, but I've stayed with my MIL for a few months right after I moved here to the US and she is not at all easy to deal with, so having her crammed in our tiny apartment with no means of escape for a whole week is really going to be rough. Maybe I can pick up some extra hours at work...

That's hard. I feel for you. That's a lot of people in a small space. Perhaps you can go to target or something and buy some throw blankets and cheap pillows? Wait no don't bother, you don't want them getting too comfortable. :P

I imagine what would happen if we moved away from the area and my inlaws would come and stay with us and yea, it would probably drive me mad.

But it's only a week! At least it's not forever.

Em, try these 2 things:

1.- Ctrl and the minus sign

2.- if that doesn't work, go to Firefox--->options.

that does change the font size which is good, but it's like the fonts are harder to read now.. not sure what happened before.. someone else set it up to look nice.. it just feels nasty to my eyes. :(

If it's your desktop icons as well, go Start -> control panel-> Display -> Appearance tab -> Font size drop down-> What value does it show in this field? Change it and see what happens. you can always go back.

My font size is set as normal....sometimes you can randomly hit a key combination which screws things up :(

For some reason VJ is forbidding me from quoting your funny statements and replying, but I actually laughed out loud at the letting them get too comfortable part, haha.

Right now, my thought process is something along the lines of smuggling my husband into Cuba then hiding out there where she can't get to us, or drinking myself into a happy stupor for the entirety of her visit. Her most famous episodes of craziness include, but are not limited to: Deciding spontaneously that my FIL was trying to kill her with rat poison which resulted in 32 calls to our house and 16 nasty voice mails in one night. Also, she got really depressed one night and took way too many of her anti-depressants which resulted in her calling us, passing out on the floor, and us having to have an ambulance crew rush to her house break down her door and haul her to the hospital. But she won't believe that she has a problem. Nope.

Oh well. Back to my day dreams of drunkenness and husband smuggling. Thanks for listening to me rant, guys

Good morning! Wow Misty, I can't imagine how awful that's going to be having everyone at your apartment! Even though it's late, is there NOTHING available? Or is there rooms available that are just more than they're willing to pay? Could you perhaps chip in and pay some of their hotel stay rather than have them stay with you? In-laws or not...just having that many people staying with you is ridiculous. Maybe they could put off coming an extra week when there are rooms available?

I thought this cup was the cutest thing! Take two if you want a full one.
