One cigarette won't usually make you addicted, in fact your first is always the most disgusting one. Still though, don't try it, it's just gross. You will wonder how people can do it 10+ times a day.

I remember I threw up when I first tried smoking. I started smoking in highschool and stopped about 2 years ago. Though if I am out with friends and having some drinks and there's a smoker in the crowd I will go out with them and smoke. I could easily pick it up again and that scares me a tad. My mom smokes and is trying to quit now, every January she attempts it. It grosses me out when I visit her because even though she tries to limit her smoking to one room with fans and stuff, her entire place still reeks of cigarettes.

Last week she told me she did all of Ethan's laundry, didn't matter still had to wash it again when I got home because his suitcase smelled like an ashtray.

So true and when I have a stressful day the first thing I think about is how I want a smoke.

Smoking really does gross me out, and it doesn't really sound like one of those things I should be trying out of curiosity. I dont think I will.

I smoke a cigar once in awhile. I never inhale. I'm aware that there's still the possibility of mouth cancer etc., but I smoke them seldom enough that I'm not overly concerned.

I USED to smoke a Backwood every day while driving in to work though. It was pure habit, not addiction.

I used to drink about 4 cans of Diet Pepsi everyday. Here I'm only drinking about 1. I went through a nasty withdrawl. Dont think I could ever fully cut it out, I like the taste.

Actually, I don't crave them at all, and I've quit for over 18 years now. Smoked from age 14 to 27. My late husband says I was a "wanna be smoker" cause it was Players Extra Light, and I only smoked half a pack a day, ( unless I was drinking..lol) So maybe that's why I don't crave as much?

However when I was going through a terrible, stressful time with my marriage back then....oh yeah..the urge was there. I didn't though. Surprising. I almost did it like those boys back in the 50's asking for condoms!! I'd go to 7-11, pick out a bag of chips, bottle of pop, chocolate bar..whatever. And when I got to the counter I was going to casually say, "Players Extra Light please"...but I always chickened out!!

Ended up gaining weight because of the chips, chocolate, pop.....

Although, a Pepsi will do the trick nicely in times there's no coffee maker ( or it's broken ) in a hotel room!!

Everyone in my family who have smoked all still have the cravings. For me, it's certain triggers that set it off. I usually have 1 cigarette per year and I get sick like a 14 year old kid having their first one. It leaves this mental feeling in me that makes me cringe for a few months every time I think of having one. I didn't have one in 2009 though, and maybe that is why i'm feeling such strong cravings.
