I just went to the grocery store and found Moosetracks Ice Cream in the store's own brand.

1.75 Quarts for 2.49

I died and went to ice cream heaven.

Mmm. Moosetracks is one of my favorite flavors.

I think peanut butter cup ice cream is my favorite overall these days, though...and Purdy's makes an amazingly smooth peanut butter ice cream.

Oddly enough, I don't like peanut butter on its own...but I love it in chocolate items and ice cream etc.

I don't think I knew pb ice cream even existed - that sounds horribleeeee.

Peanut%20Butter%20sm_resize.gif

It's actually really good. It's not like it sounds -- it's kind of like what a Purdy's peanut butter daisy chocolate would taste like if it was turned into ice cream. It's really smooth and quite light.

Today is my last day and then my vacation begins! I can't work... too excited. Well no, I actually have quite a bit to do and keep me busy, but I am doing my morning rounds on the interwebz. :P

Omg Christmas is less than a week away! I haven't told ANYONE what I have got them yet! This is a record. I have asked my husband to guess, and he never did guess correctly so that's cool.

Every single year my son builds one of those already cut out/half made gingerbread houses. I found a cool one at wegmans in the German food sections called Gingerbread Haus. I am going to pick that up tonight because I love the word: Haus. :P

Awesome!

It was a tradition growing up to give people bizarre hints leading up to Christmas. I tried it, but Peachey is too smart for me. She figures out all her gifts and then there's no happy surprise. :(

Seriously though, my dad would tell my mom stuff like "You can't kill an octopus with it."

My favorite was one year he sent her on a scavenger hunt. She opened a little box with a hint, and went all around the room finding new little hints.

She got to a hint that said to "pull the train out of the tunnel" and one of the flatbed cars had a ring box on it. She got so excited that when she opened the ring box she missed the final clue.

Thinking the box was empty she lost it, whipped the ring box across the room at dad and yelled "VARBA'S DAD!! I CAN NOT BELIEVE YOU GAVE ME AN EMPTY RING BOX!! WHY WOULD YOU THINK THAT'S A GOOD IDEA ON CHRISTMAS!!"

After we calmed her down a bit and pointed out the last hint everyone was laughing so hard it didn't matter. :)

Montreal Interviewer: "What do you have in common with each other?"

Peachey: "We're REALLY weird."

Montreal Interviewer (incredulously to me): "Do you agree with that?"

<I think back to several days before the interview. Driving through the country, passing a field with cows...>

Peachey: "MOOOO! MOOOOO! Does this make me weird?"

Me: "No, well yes. Here, let me roll down the windows so they can hear you better!"

Peachey: "MOOOOO!!!!"

<back to interview>

Me: "Yes, yes I do."

Serious, one time Varba got me something and he didn't even hint, nor did I see it and I guessed what it was in about 10 seconds. Even the store he got it from.

Good morning.

It's dark, it's cold, it's Canada in the winter!

The view across the ridge this morning is amazing, I should go take a picture really, don't know if my camera will do it justice though!
