I can't imagine anything nicer than to spend a few days in seclusion with my wife, surrounded by nature, curled up in front of a wood-burning stove and watching movies. Purr.

I freely admit that I am a scrooge. But to be fair, I don't like any holiday, except Thanksgiving. Turkey Day is sacred and shall not be denegrated in any way, shape or form.

Lol Thanksgiving is amazing! I miss the days of eating so many meatballs that the whites of my eyes would cloud due to the gravy intake and having to deal with the meatball coma while lying on the floor fighting off a dog

I love Christmas Dinner too. The Lakers almost always play that day, and an equally great meal

Lol I'm from Michigan, I currently take no solace in football on Thanksgiving and haven't been able to since Barry Sanders retired.

The only obstacle will be getting there. The Coquihalla Highway can get pretty nasty in winter, as I've learned first-hand.

The way I look at it though, there's a very good chance that I'll be driving through several snowy mountain passes on my cross-continent trek to D.C. upon visa approval, so this trip through the mountains in winter conditions should be good practice.

The way I look at it though, there's a very good chance that I'll be driving through several snowy mountain passes on my cross-continent trek to D.C. upon visa approval, so this trip through the mountains in winter conditions should be good practice.

Eeerh.. Yes, driving through snowy passes can be really stressful. A far cry from the leisurely Sunday drives!

Be sure to have good winter tires, and take your time.

Driven that coquihilla highway numerous times in the winter, in very wintery conditions! Lots of cars/semis in the ditch! They do keep it plowed fairly well, but with the amount of snow they can get, it is a loosing battle. Driven from Victoria to Sask, many time thru the mountains, can be pretty scary at times,lol

I lived in Prince George for most of my childhood and some of my adult life, then Victoria for about 6 years.
