Oh funny story about my son... I was looking at the PC he usually uses lastnight and checking the history and he was on dictionary.com looking up the meaning of 'boobs' and 'bums'.

Thank goodness for parental controls, thats the only place where he can look up such things.

LOL!

Parental controls are soooooooooooo easy to get around. The browser ones are the easiest to get around, however the ones in the actual OS are a bit trickier to circumvent. Nothing too complicated that a 10 year old couldnt' figure out though.

He hasn't figured it out yet. He doesn't have a computer in his room and his time spent on the computer is monitored.

I'm an observant mother. I watch my child very closely, thank you.

Not saying that one day he won't be looking up other things but right now, he's just going as far as looking it up in a dictionary.

Hahaha this would totally have been me if the internet was actually cool back when I was growing up. Right when I was graduating high school in '99 our high school was considered high tech cause we all had email accounts haha.

My wife has been back since June 5, 2007. Now we're just livin' man, L I V I N :)

I didn't have the internet growing up.

I used my mom's websters dictionary to look up the F word though.. I thought it was sooo funny that it was in there.

I remember it was about grade 10 though the internet became more known and my school library had ONE computer that was hooked up to the internet and you had to reserve time on it, and even though you reserved time, you only had a 20 minute limit... that included the time it took for the damn things to dial up.

I wasn't suggesting otherwise

We had internet when I was in junior high in 89. It was only message boards, and the dial-up sucked, but it was still fun. Hardly anyone at school knew what it was, so nobody bothered with it. A friend of mine found a message board where kids posted answers to textbook homework questions

But it was great for games... I used to play Summer Olympics, paper boy and family feud on it. :P
