We are going to spend a weekend in Boston... I'd like to catch a redsox game... just to say I have. I like baseball... a lot.

There's a few weekends planned down at the shore, Baltimore, Six Flags, Hershey park and MAYBE North Carolina. Depends though.

On wednesday we're going to DC for Canada day. It'll be fun. Time will pass fast.

Awe.. enjoy the summer my friend.. *sigh.. hubby just sometimes gets overwhelmed by what he's missing, so I know the pain can be great being separated from your youngen's.. but think about how much your son will miss you.. it won't be one way, and I'm sure he'll come back with loads of stories of all his adventures, and you guys will have a great big old chin wag when he returns.. :)

Grinding my own coffee now again as well! SO many posts to read, so I'll just leave you with coffee while I now browse. Hope everyone is healthy and happy!

Hung out at The Tim Hortons in Newport RI while my car was at Toyota getting serviced, and got to de-virginize a new employee! I was the very first customer that she served coffee to, I told her no pressure, I'm a Canadian that loves his Tim Hortons, lol and they now have a "XL" hot coffee size, and it is BIGGER than a Canadian XL. I guess to compete with Dunkins XL, they required a bigger size. And I must say the coffee did taste better than the last yr. I'm on my second XL of the day, lol. I think she stated it was 24 oz.

Beautiful day in RI, prob around 17C, slight breeze by the water and no humidity. Had my Awful-Awful from the Newport Creamery yesterday, yummy!!!! http://www.newportcreamery.com/icecream.asp

Back to the books

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

No, the golf course and clubhouse is open on Friday so we're all working. Mondays the club is always closed so most of the office crew get long weekends most of the time anyways. I could ask for Friday off but I really don't want to stay home... I want to just stay busy right now until I stop sobbing over my son being gone for the summer.

Oh funny story about my son... I was looking at the PC he usually uses lastnight and checking the history and he was on dictionary.com looking up the meaning of 'boobs' and 'bums'.

Thank goodness for parental controls, thats the only place where he can look up such things.
