Dinners for me now are going to be weird.

I'm normally able to figure out what's for dinner by smelling it, but now becuase I live with my future in laws and they cook chinese cuisine, I have no clue what's for dinner anymore.

There's usually something that I'll eat though, which is good.

I had Souplantation for dinner last night, it's an amazing place. They're a buffet for soup, salad and hot pasta. It's awesome. They even have breads and dessert! Made from scratch soups, pasta dishes, etc. I absolutly love the place, and it's pretty sensible price wise. About 8 dollars for lunch and 10 for dinner.

I would eat at that place once a week if I could.

my hubby and I love Soupplantation too .. I joined their "e-club" and every few weeks they send me a 2 for 1 coupon... so it only costs us about 14 bucks including drinks

My favourites are the broccoli salad and the strawberry lemonade...

We have a number of coupons in a coupon book one of Joe's colleague's kids were selling. We've had some great success with them until tonight. We were doing some errands and decided to stop at Steak 'n Shake because it was fast and close by and because we had a two for one on their double steak burgers (pay for the most expensive one and get the second free) coupon. Well, when we went to use the coupon it turns out that they have 'changed' it - they only offer 'one' option now - it isn't for any of their double steakburgers, only the very basic one - and then they charge you for the extra toppings and the fries so it actually works out to be almost the same price as if you hadn't used the coupon. So, there is another coupon for Steak 'n Shake in the book but that one isn't going to be used. The food of ok - no great 'shakes', hehehe - but their shakes menu did look pretty good.

I do the low carb stuff too. I just cook with lots of veggies, different kinds of meat, and no starches. It actually makes me feel really good and healthy. :)

I haven't cooked for a week now. I cleaned out my fridge before leaving for the holidays. Good eats at my in-laws though! I did a little grocery shopping last night to tide us over until "no coupon" Thursday at my local grocers. I got a new ceramic cast iron lidded oven roaster for my birthday that I'd like to try out with a pork roast, or stew tonight. On my way to look up some recipes...

I haven't tried that diet but I hear it's good. Any diet that lets you eat bacon and eggs has got to be a good one! Let us know what you think of it. My friend and his Mum lost a TON of weight following that diet.

Ooooooh, a ceramic cast iron roaster! That's awesome. What colour? And happy belated birthday, Carla!! When was your birthday?

Last night I made a lovely salad with roasted vegetables and great big sea scallops which were soooo sweet and yummy. I also made a fresh dill and buttermilk dressing to go with it. It was delicious.

I am making a vegetable beef soup for this evening. It's smelling pretty yummy right now.

I have SOOOOOOO many leftovers now.

I decided to celebrate thanksgiving last thursday and made a suffed turkey breast (from M and Ms) with sweet potato casserole. So with some of the left over turky I make some pasta dish last night.

Now I have left over turkey AND pasta.

The Lord is my strength and my shield,

My heart trusted in Him and I am helped,

therefore my heart greatly rejoices,

and with my song I will praise Him.

It's red. My birthday was on Friday, the 27th. Thanks. I cut up about a pound of pork chops with potatoes, onions, celery, and carrots, spices, and after browning up the pork put it in the roaster. On 300 degrees for 2 hours. It was soooooooo good!

Tonight, if I'm feeling ambitious this afternoon it will be lasagna, and if I'm rushed for time, I'll just throw together some spaghetti with homemade marinara.

Red is an awesome colour.

I have no idea what we're having tonight. But lasagna sounds good. With caesar salad. But we'll see.

Walmart is out of banana popsicles. :crying: Again! :bonk: They're the only ones that carry them and they're always running out. But they've always got a good supply of the multi-coloured ones which are ####### and everyone agrees because they've been in there so long they're covered in frost. Order more banana popsicles when you order them grocery store manager!!!!! :protest:
